Who flies a jet at low altitude in an enemy territory that doesn't have a radar system. Low altitude flight is mostly to evade rather systems or for jet missile deployment precision or probably they did to scare the insurgents with the sound of the jet. Whatever the case might be my condolences to the family of the pilots and the entire nation for the loss.

These boko haram terrorists are highly trained and except for air power, I bet they have more sophisticated and deadlier weapons than our military.

That's why Nigeria cannot go on the offensive against them. The few times we tried to, our boys suffered heavy casualties and our military was humiliated. We even saw a theatre commander, a General, almost shedding tears on Tv.

Bottom line is, Nigeria is tackling this insecurity issue rather too late in the day and reluctantly at that. Take it to the bank, another 10 years to come and we would still be talking about this!
