From the scripture you quoted, what does the KNOW there means? It means believe? Does knowing equate believing? That they may KNOW and not that they may BELIEVE. Jesus worshipping in jewish synagogues was to set them (the worshippers) on the right path. Let me put it the way it is written in the scripture, Jesus was teaching/Preaching in the jewish synagogues. So, it's quite different from what you wrote.

HOW TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST

1. Believe him, believe in his diety as the son of God, his substitutionary work, his finished works on the cross and his resurrection.

2. Accept him not just into your life but make him the Lord of your life

3. Learn of him through the agency of the Holy Spirit.

4. Becoming like him.
