Actually from reliable information gathered, for those who have been shortlisted, the merit list will be based on Surname Alphabetical Order irrespective of test score or performance at the interview. Once they get the number that's it.

Seems I'm not the only one who thinks that all things being equal, only a hand full will score up to 60% in the tests. The questions aren't hard but are given in a way that they can't be finished with the allotted time.

There’s still a process to go. I think it will be too early to go into contacting referees , especially when they don’t know who will make it past the interview yet.

Contacting referees (that’s if at all they will), should be the last stage of vetting before finally making any offer. You only vet who you are hiring.

Focus should be on the interview now.
