Aurelius1:She is right stop arguing, Benin is a mono tribe city and in extension into Edo south a mono tribe kingdom which the Benin are owners and overwhelming Majority in. same cannot be said of warri which is occupied by three tribes with different cultures and traditions. the auchi example you gave is flawed unlike auchi which is not situated in Benin city and in extension kingdom in anyway is primarily inhabited by the etsako tribal group of auchi descent and is owned by them, the same can be said about the entire stool of Benin city and Benin kingdom but the pattern cannot be used in warri which is not a mono tribe city 3 Likes 3 Shares |

pinkygurl:All the links you posted and the arguments changes nothing. We all know his powers ends with the Itsekiris , but the title remains. It remains so till eternity because there are legal documents giving backing to it. Any Urhobo or Ijaw man who cannot stand hearing the title should stick cotton buds in his ears anytime its being mentioned. 4 Likes |

Aurelius1:Most people do not know. The average person outside delta state erroneously assumes he has same official auspices as the oba of benin,or king of lagos. That was what led to the arguement in the lst place. They just erroneously assume he is the king of everybody writing warri as place of origin. Just had to set facts straight. |

This is one of Obafemi Awolowo's evil legacies. Changing the title Olu of Itsekiri to Olu of Warri! No wonder Chief Asari-Dokubo referred to Awolowo as the devil the Ijaw man knows. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

emmadothings: Don’t mind the ignorant fellow, very soon he will add Aladja to Warri, even Effurun... The average Urhobo man will rather argue and wail and whine and quarrel for years than sit down for just 5 minutes to read the law and apply wisdom. A wise man once said “The ignorant man adores what he can not understand, he is intimidated by facts and is perpetually confused by the rule of logic” - Change the Law OR Keep quiet!!!! It is as simple as ABC - 123!!!! 7 Likes |

Benwallt: Itshekiri,Yoruba and Anioma,Igbo are two different things. One shares direct boundary with the other and has everything in common with the one who he shares the border, while one does not share a direct border with the other but has strong historical ties with the other. To me, Aniomas are Igbos who just happened to be cut out of the SE due to their geographical location, while the Itshekiris though migrating from Yoruba land have greatly being influenced by their Esan,Urhobo,Ijaw, and Isoko neighbors that they are less Yoruba. 2 Likes |
