It's possible that his father, d late olu, was d last of their fathers sons. Be that as it may, I am supposing that ogiame Ogiame Atuwatse's children should be older than Tsola Emiko. Wondering why Emiko was chosen
tsola emiko is the son of atuwatse. And his mother is from Ogun state thats what Ayiri the ologbotsere is holding as the law which states that his mothere most be form itskiri or benin. 1979 law. That law was also use when Atuwatse entered the Throne. He was the third Son of his Father.

Have you heard of The Otuaru of Auchi? Monarchs are named after the Towns not the tribe or language.
She is right stop arguing, Benin is a mono tribe city and in extension into Edo south a mono tribe kingdom which the Benin are owners and overwhelming Majority in. same cannot be said of warri which is occupied by three tribes with different cultures and traditions. the auchi example you gave is flawed unlike auchi which is not situated in Benin city and in extension kingdom in anyway is primarily inhabited by the etsako tribal group of auchi descent and is owned by them, the same can be said about the entire stool of Benin city and Benin kingdom but the pattern cannot be used in warri which is not a mono tribe city

The Olu of warri is the monarch of ITSEKIRIS ONLY. so he can add OLU OF NIGERIA to his title if he wants & copyright it also.THE URHOBOS,IJAWS Of WARRI.do not give a fvck about the title of the king of the ITSEKIRIS OF WARRI as far as he sticks to collecting royalties from ITSEKIRI BOUNDARY ONLY & ITSEKIRI OWNED OIL WELLS ONLY
The Olu or Ogiame (King) of Warri now only rules the Itsekiri people living in the town of Warri in the Delta State of Nigeria as a traditional leader..

- In pre-colonial and colonial times, there was a marked division of territory in Warri. The Ijaws occupied the islands and shores in the Warri South West Axis, the Itsekiris occupied the islands and mainlands close to the coastal areas in Warri South and North while the Urhobos occupied the hinterland with the exception of Okere-Urhobo and Agbassa urhobo who occupied coastal regions

When the colonial NCNC and the Action Group party was formed, the Itsekiris embraced the AG while the Urhobos embraced NCNC. Awolowo punished the Urhobos for this by placing the Itsekiri monarch above all the Urhobo monarchs. Awo also changed the traditional title of the Olu of Itsekiri to the Olu of Warri .

The court ruling states unequivocally that the Olu of Warri is a mere titular appellation and his over-lord's powers are limited to Itsekiri traditional homesteads.

All the links you posted and the arguments changes nothing. We all know his powers ends with the Itsekiris , but the title remains. It remains so till eternity because there are legal documents giving backing to it. Any Urhobo or Ijaw man who cannot stand hearing the title should stick cotton buds in his ears anytime its being mentioned.

Most people do not know. The average person outside delta state erroneously assumes he has same official auspices as the oba of benin,or king of lagos.
That was what led to the arguement in the lst place. They just erroneously assume he is the king of everybody writing warri as place of origin.
Just had to set facts straight.

You may have 1,000 reasons to claim the whole of Nigeria belongs to Urhobo, and you have the right to think President Buhari is an Urhobo man too because the Fulanis stole his great grand father from Ughelli in 1868 bla bla bla, that’s all nice and good - BUT my question to you is what does the law of Nigeria as of today 04/04/2021 say about the name of the paramount ruler of Warri? If you don’t know - go and read about it and stop displaying ignorance on public space grin

Don’t mind the ignorant fellow, very soon he will add Aladja to Warri, even Effurun... grin grin The average Urhobo man will rather argue and wail and whine and quarrel for years than sit down for just 5 minutes to read the law and apply wisdom. A wise man once said “The ignorant man adores what he can not understand, he is intimidated by facts and is perpetually confused by the rule of logic” - Change the Law OR Keep quiet!!!! It is as simple as ABC - 123!!!!

Itshekiri,Yoruba and Anioma,Igbo are two different things. One shares direct boundary with the other and has everything in common with the one who he shares the border, while one does not share a direct border with the other but has strong historical ties with the other. To me, Aniomas are Igbos who just happened to be cut out of the SE due to their geographical location, while the Itshekiris though migrating from Yoruba land have greatly being influenced by their Esan,Urhobo,Ijaw, and Isoko neighbors that they are less Yoruba.

Rewane was the last person to hold that title and he is the one that crown Atuwatse II the Father of the designated King tsola Emiko. That post has been vacant before it was given to Ayiri by ikenwoli. He is the house keeper to the king and also the prime minister. That is a big position.

He meant to type Ovie of Agbara in warri rather.
Agbarha comprises of seven patriarch towns of otovwodo-agbarha in warri;igbudu in warri;Edjeba in warri;Okurode,Ogunu,Oteghele and Ukpokiti. Those are urhobo domains subject to IVIE urhobo king.Agbarha and Okere-urhobo of warri.
Gbaranmatu;Isaba and Ogbe ijoh are IJaw domains in Warri subject to lJaw king-Pere
Itsekiri domains are subject to king-OLU
Awo changed the traditional title of the Olu of Itsekiri to the Olu of Warri

The court ruling states unequivocally that the Olu of Warri is a mere titular appellation and his over-lord's powers are limited to Itsekiri traditional homesteads.
OLU OF WARRI CAN ONLY KING OVER ITSEKIRI OIL WELLS OF WARRI & ITSEKIRI OWNED LANDS OF WARRI.
Some urhobo communities in warri south!
1.idimi sobo
2.agbassa
3.edjeba
4.okere-urhobo
5.ogunu grin
Warri belongs to itsekiris;urhobos & ijaws.
Itsekiris;urhobos & Ijaws all have oil.3 indigenous people;3 different tribes,3 different languages.3 different people subject to 3 different kings & they all know their boundaries.
