Pls can someone who got admission into undergraduate diploma in macewan university (ielts not required for the admission) use the NSE path to apply for student visa?

The NSE route is also not sure.

Just apply, if you got NSE request, if you have IELTS and mybankstatements ticket, you can submit it. If you do not have it, ignore, application will resume processing after one month...

Apart from ielts, can undergraduate diploma student apply through NSE?

Anyone can apply through the NSE route as long as he/she is a Nigerian and presently lives in Nigeria.

Of course, an NSE invitation notification may be sent to an applicant.

However, to qualify for the NSE route, you must provide

1. IELTS result
2. MBS

You can't use any short-cut. There is no other way around it, even if you studied BA English.

If you don't have both of these documents, your application will be processed normally.

I am not overly fond of replying emails, so I will put it out here for everyone to see.

For those who want to access/secure student loans, please take note of these few points.

1. I don't know any local financial institutions that provide student loans... It doesn't seem like it's Nigeria's style.

2. Foreign banks that provide student loans are divided into two types
a. Those who require cosignors (i.e. guarantors) and therefore collaterals
b. Those who require evidence of superb academic transcript (e.g. Mpower)

Option 'a' has a lower interest rate, but your cosignors must reside in Canada

Option 'b' has a higher interest rate, but no cosignor is required.

Option 'a' is not very common because most people are not ready to take the risk of being cosignors.

Option 'b' is rare because the interest rate is high, and not many students are chosen based on less satisfactory academic records.

Now, in terms of visa processing time, this thing is grace.

For some people, it takes less than two months, and for some people, it takes 7 months.

It's not clear why.

But some possible reasons include

1. The complexity of your application
Visa officers may need to verify your documents if they need conviction.
Verification may take a while because several factors may be involved.

2. Backlog

3. The VO probably put your documents aside because your submitted documents weren't smooth-sailing, and thought to come back to them later.

Please house, what is the best way to pay for my visa fees + biometrics.
Nigeria card of 100 dollars limitation is an issue.
Thanks

Not all Nigerian banks have $100 limits, banks like stanbic ibtc, eco, fidelity can still pay more than $100, but it must either be Visa Card or MasterCard, Verve won’t work, I hope it helps.

It will end in prays

For newbies who wish to apply, please take note of the following

1. Canada needs your money (international tuition payment), but they also want to be sure that you are not going to be a liability to them.

2. The Canadian government does not want a situation whereby you claim to want to travel for study purpose, and all of a sudden you work instead of going to school in Canada. (Hence, The Purpose of Visit Question)

3. The Canadian government knows that a lot of students will later apply for work permit after graduation at a Canadian school, but they still want you to prove that you will be coming back to Nigeria. Hence, you must show home-tie. Home-tie means tie to your country, Nigeria.

4. Before submitting your application, go through your documents over and over again.

5. Make sure your statement of purpose is elaborate, clear, and informative. It is a very vital document.

6. You must have at least 10,000 CAD available for your living expenses, after other vital fees/expenditures have been deducted (books, tuition, transportation to Canada, etc.,)

Submitting with a high IELTS score has its benefits, whether he is using the NSE route or not.

So if he is fluent in English, he should take the test.

Then again, NSE still works. But it's not predictable.

He did ielts 3 yrs ago while trying the EE route but low EE score made d result unusable and not ready to go thru that stress. That was why he looked for schools that dont need ielts. So he can save d 75k( hope its still 75k). And again he plans to use bank statements and treasury bill certificate that should mature in 6 months time (which can be broken anytime once the visa is approved). In this case, how does the MBS work for him?

If his level of English proficiency will not be an advantage, he won't be able to apply through the NSE route. And I don't think he should send the English proficiency doc to them. The normal route is the only option he has.

He can generate MBS online if he uses GT bank, by accessing GT world app.

He can also go to the bank, if he uses GT bank or any other bank, with a letter stating that he needs the MBS ticket for his account and wishes to send his doc to Canada embassy.

The first step is to look for a financial institution in Canada that provides student loans.
You can do this by searching via the Internet.

You may compare banks to see which one has the most favorable interest rate and repayment period.

You may then send an email to these banks to ascertain how they go about providing loans to students.

They will give you all the info you need.

But note:

One thing is accessing loan, another thing is writing a very convincing SOP.

So, you have a lot of things to think about.

There was an IELTS app I used last year, but I don't remember how the icon looks like. It was quite helpful at the time and I scored very high in all four categories.

However, I will advise that you download category-specific ielts apps, as they tend to focus comprehensively on the individual categories.

For example

IELTS listening app
IELTS reading app
IELTS writing app
IELTS speaking app
