Hi ......,

We have made an update to your application. Due to the course you have selected, we have had to refer your application to one of our experienced subject-specialist Admissions Tutors within the Academic School of Study. This will mean there will be a delay in the processing of your application but we aim to come back to you with an outcome as soon as we have an update from the Tutor.

Best Wishes,
International Office, University of Hertfordshire

Please I got this from Hertfordshire over a month now and they’ve not gotten back to me. I applied for pre-registration nursing. Any hope of getting the admission for me? Someone please help

University of Hertfordshire msc nursing is closed for this session .They couldn’t even give admission to most people with unconditional offer.if you don’t mind me asking what course did you study and what grade .you can also apply to other schools as well .

@Justwise Please I have admission from Six schools which I have narrowed down to Bournemouth and Cardiff University. Cardiff fees is £23,450 while Bournemouth is £15,000 but I have soft landing in Bournemouth (free accommodation). Do you know anything about both cities and school? Your response will be appreciated

Hello, when did you put in your application?

I appreciate all the help being rendered in this platform. I have learnt quite a lot here.

A few questions though which I'll love to get answers from the gurus here.

I have offers from about 10 Universities in the UK but I have narrowed it down to 3 actually which are
Teeside University (MPH 2 years with internship)
Northumbria University (MPH 1 year)
University of Glasgow (MPH 1 year)

I am expecting a positive decision from UofG by month-end as regards Scholarship as the cost is very high (£23,500) so it is my first on the log.
Teeside is cheap @£7,500/session and I also have a discount of 2,000 so it is my back up plan here.
Northumbria is the 3 on the log here because of cost too.

My questions are as follows:
1. Can I go for my PhD immediately after the MPH and won't it affect the 2 years post graduation work visa? That is, can I apply for it after the PhD? And can I attend another University apart from the one I want to do my MPH?
2. Planning to go with family. Can my wife who will be a dependant also apply into the University when she gets there? As in can she go to school in part time?
3. Please what is the prospect of getting work and living expenses in Middlesbrough, Glasgow and Newcastle?

@justwise and others please help with these

Your Application is unsuccessful not because of your academic potential. It is because you have been refused Uk visa before. Try other schools that are lenient. Ask the forum.

Boss I was never denied UK visa before only the USA. Never applied for UK visa

Don’t waste your time. They are done taking nursing this year. Try other schools.

Could also be the reason. USA and UK share same data. Some schools do not want any visa risk process.

Bro. There is enough time. Apply to different schools that accommodate you.

@justwise and others please help with these questions.

1. Of course. You can do PhD immediately. But note that you can't do two post study visa. As in, you can only benefit from post study visa once.
However, if your wife obtains student visa along the way in the UK after your post study visa, you can apply as her dependant and benefit from student dependant and post study dependant visa.

2. Yes. Your wife can go to school full time and work full time with no limit. She does not need to apply for student visa or work visa. However, she can't be employed as a doctor or dentist in training nor as a sports person.

3. You can get job anywhere in the UK so far you are able to do the job. Middlesbrough has less cost of living. Newcastle has more job opportunities.

I don’t think this is the reason. How many times were you denied visa to the USA?

Chief my decision to study abroad is not to just go to a cheap school or city; there are a lot of factors to consider including the how accommodating the city is, availability of jobs amongst others. I have researched adequately about both cities but there are certain info that will never be available online and its best to ask. I don't want to go to a bad city or school just because I want cheap tuition.
hosey:

You will save almost 16000 pounds by choosing Bournemouth due to free accommodation and cheaper tuition. Is this even a question? Are you just bragging?

Then go to Cardiff university. It seems you don't know that we are in COVID era where you will be stocked at home with no activities.
If you are very rich as it seems, go to University of Oxford or Cambridge.
