I believe as igbos we need to tax rented apartments 25 of their rented value

If a building is rented for 2 million a year government would get 500k ...mean state government ooh

States like anambra would easily make 400bn. Year from this , and imagine the Infastruture development we would achieve

Did u say corruption ? Would an igbo man pay that kind of money and not be interested in politics ? With middle class igbos interested in politics it would be imposible to loot much

I've always argued that our state gov'ts are not collecting the approriate and adequate tenement rates from from all the highrise blocks of flats that abound in the south-east! If they did their jobs properly, a state like Anambra should be collecting at least 2 billion naira monthly just from tenement rates, freehold and council tax receipts.

It's just unimaginativeness, laziness, corruption/greed of state officials, lack of vision, being comfortable sticking with the norm and not just giving a fuc/k that is our gov'ts major problem.

Is Unizik in Onitsha?

Go to Unizik and see what Ndi Igbo are building around that area.

No Yoruba city both capital and non capital has better housing facilities than Unizik.

But igbo land is already deriving more than it fair share of Nigeria resources. If we are talking about SS or the SW that is understandable not the wretched South among them.

Like say na ur papa born you atleast u for dey reasonable, do you remember what happens in lagos during dec/jan when the ballers leave town, everywhere dries up. Sw n Se is the engine room of Nigeria but have more respect for the igbo stock. We are not just proud for nothing.

Leave him now, most of them arguing haven't even been to obolo-afor talk more of entering nnewi or onitsha.

The amount of new glittering buildings in the south east is alarming, sometimes it beats my imagination how my brothers are able to rise up this big. Building mansions even inside their villages sef

The world is aware of the doggedness of Igbo people.
Regionalize this country, south east would come tops even without oil.
-state police(metropolitan, local&border)
-standard international airport in the heartland(tourism & exchange)
-standard port through onitsha
-standard rail from aba(indigenous products/standardized) to onitsha port (for exports) will do the magic.

Federal project in Onitsha.

Abandoned for 26 years, completed and commissioned by PMB in less than 2 years.

Een elebele Jonathan the son of the soil did not even bother to touch the project for 6 years and the PDP for 16 years surrendered the place to rats, spiders, lizards, and snakes..

God Bless PMB.

If a city will develop better without federal presence, then what does it say about the so called federal presence?

You can deceive yourselves with your deceptive aerial pictures, but you can not fool us with what the ugly concrete jungle looks on the ground.

Btw, no development is better than being labeled as the dirtiest and the most polluted city in the whole world.

WHO ranks Onitsha as world’s most polluted city

Four of the worst cities in the world for air pollution are in Nigeria, according to a data released by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Onitsha, in Anambra – a city few outside Nigeria will have heard of – has the undignified honour of being labeled the world’s most polluted city

followed by the cities of Aba, in sixth place, and Umuahia, in 16th position, which are both trade centers in southern Nigeria.

https://guardian.ng/news/who-ranks-onitsha-as-worlds-most-polluted-city/

Apart from Onitsha as the world's dirtiest and most polluted city in the world, 3 out of the most polluted cities in the whole world are in SE, Nigeria.

What is it about the SE and dirty way of life and pollution.?
