This made me smile. Almost makes me wish I had a building project to invite you to.

From your mouth to God’s ears. That is the only way to build sustainable wealth and enjoy it with peace of mind. You don’t know the power of other people’s prayers until you are laden with curses from them.

Stay strong, stay committed to your craft, getting where you want to be is not that hard. There’s a special blessing that accompanies honest work.

Even EgunMogaji2 Confirmed his Stupidity. (By Admitting his hypocrisy)

Am not saying Brabus is a good guy! Surely the guy made so many Mistakes but what made the Mistake escalated was his Arrogant Attitude towards his Clients. (Always trying to defend himself even when it's so unnecessary)

But we should not destroy him completely because of that, thanks to God' BrabusNG /n3xt has some ongoing Projects' which a lot of people on this thread (especially silent Readers) are currently Monitoring, I hope he delivers well & if he doesn't then his Village People are solidly backing him to fail.

There is room for change .......

EgunMogaji2 I hope you've changed those Ridiculous Attitude of yours.?

The only thing that exists on this thread is shifting interests. Alliances are formed around personal interests and can shift at anytime to accommodate new motivations.

Like Nigeria’s problems, the issues are infinite so you pick a battle or you conform.

My pick is to continue to create awareness of nexthome / kobocity / brabus/ n3xt / brabusng’s atrocities.

Few days ago, I was just on Nairaland to find distressed sales (Lands and Houses) until I saw all the mentions, which I think warrants my response.
Please Know that I'm not here to derail this thread by bringing up old issues.

But If you want to know:

- Bosun Shoyeye aka Brabus /'N3xt worked on my project in 2015.
- We were not pleased with all his work.
- He is very savvy with online presentations (cut and paste pictures etc) and can sweet talk you but under-delivers in real life.
- Brabus also have serious integrity issues and very manipulative.
- He always claim to have his hands full of ongoing projects so you can think he knows his onions well. Guys don't fall for this.
- His arrogance is second to none. A simple "Dear customer I'm very sorry for how this whole thing went south, how can we fix it or make it better" could have solved 90% of all these issues with his previous clients.
- He under quotes to beat other contractors. He will try to change the quotes after you've commence the project. ( This is where we first bumped heads)
- He also doesn't respect client's confidentiality.

These are my reasons why I will never recommend anyone I know to give their hard earn money to him. Again, Everyone is free to do as they pleases with their money.

Can you buy electrical cable at N9,000 and sell at N8,500? It’s impossible! The same way with cement right now.

______

My suggestion is that we should start exploring alternative to cement in Nigeria. The owner of the project next to my ongoing build is planning to use Supafix after I introduced it to him last week.

I’ll be doing some demos in the coming days.

A nairalander (whom I don’t know) ordered some quantities from me in January. I really wish he could give his feedback on the product.

It’s cheaper and better than OPC. A good way to explore is to do comparative costing between OPC and the supafix in smaller rooms.

Oyinbo man don’t use cement for their floors na grin

At what point did you realize Brabus work was unsatisfactory? Remember he doesn’t take money for a new milestone until the client is satisfied with the one paid for.

Was it at the beginning or the middle or at the very end after he has delivered and moved on?

Or you were saving it up?? grin grin

You can check it out. Tiles adhesive is the right thing for tiles installation and not our conventional OPC cement+sand screed approach.

do you mean I don't need to floor other parts? I should just interlock the driveway and then spread the artificial grass on other parts without flooring it in as much as the compound is level.

Okay I think I got my wires crossed. You’re talking about materials used to stick tile to the floor?

If so yes we don’t use cement, we use thin set mortar.

Yes. Supafix tiles adhesives fall into same category.

Thinset mortar already have latex and polymer additives that aid good bonding.

So how are you getting on with the rough and uneven concrete floor? Or is that just my guys punishing me for not supplying enough “pelebe” as at when due? grin

You really don’t need it 100% perfect it in order to manage uneven surfaces, you might want to try any of the following:

- have a light screed over the uneven surface to make it even (1in should be fine)

- mix the tiles adhesive with the conventional OPC cement+sand to cover the bumps and rough surfaces.
This is exactly what the guy who bought from me in Ijebu Ode did. The project was a renovation job so he had a lot of uneven surfaces to work on.

Until we improve our build processes, a lot of the cutting-edge solutions in the developed might not really work for us.

____

Remember you can manage to have a perfect leveled floor but the baba latis will still go ahead to mix on the floor.
I’m currently having that challenge on my ongoing build.

I think we've been here before.

Adhesive is most cost effective on a polished off floor. On a tapped floor (Nigeria style) you will have the added challenge of first leveling off the floor at a cost to enable you use the adhesive proper as a gum. In this situation, you then use the adhesive very sparingly with huge savings.

I noticed you didn't polish off your "German floor" or did I miss it? You are preparing to pour your decking, maybe you are not going to polish this off as well. In these circumstances, I'm not sure adhesive will be cost effective set against the time tested sand + cement as leveller.

If you use adhesive also as a leveller, the cost outcome will be interesting and worthy of note for future reference. And also, the final aesthetic outcome of the layed tiles will also be interesting. Will the tiles be level?

If adhesive turns out to be cheaper and with the same outcome, then adhesive is the way to go instead of interlocking the living room as some have previously suggested.

I really wish I knew the Ijebu Ode guy. He has had a good time with the adhesives. He has done both - using it as a leveller and using it for screed only.

Unfortunately, he’s one of the silent NL folks Egunmogaji2 asked us to respect.

He told me he wasn’t able to achieve 5sqm during his first use but I think he got it right afterwards.

______

Well, I have 2 bags that can cover 10sqm to play with from tomorrow. We can do some experiments.

If this turns out well, I’d be looking at hoarding 2000 bags grin

The +/- N2k price tag is quite attractive in time like this especially for those at finishing stage.
