University of Salford is stressing the hell outta me... had a 30mins skype interview last week, I just submitted another 500 word essay today. Whereas I have admission for same course in Sheffield Hallam & Leeds Beckett.

Is it a crime to have the university of Salford as your first choice?

Yes, you can get conditional admission to many UK universities without IELTS. However, to get an unconditional admission requires you to pass the test and show it.
You can actually type schools that don't require IELTS in google and start from there. There would be a lot of links to schools are their specific requirements.

This is not true, you can get unconditional offer with your waec , neco or English proficiency from your university

That is why my comment was conditional too. All schools have different entry requirements. Some some would demand you have minimum of 7.5 before you get an unconditional offer. It does not mean you can't get an admission without an IELTS.

What I am really against is spending money to write IELTS , when there are schools that will give you unconditional offer with your waec, neco with a C6 in English, if you are going for masters you can actually use and English proficiency from your UNi .

Sure. I get the point. There so many of the Universities with such offerings. The only challenge is the applicant liking the school.

For PhD application? If not, it is unnecessary for masters prog.

Hi guys, I have 4 admission offers to study in the UK (September 2021 intake). I was hoping to get the Chevening scholarship but didn't make it past the first stage.
I can only afford the £2,000 deposit, but can't afford the full tuition fee for any of the schools (least is £14,000), and it's even scary when converted to naira.

Please, what advice can you offer me?

Hello, good afternoon.

Have you gotten any feedback on this question because I also have similar challenges and would like to know how you are going to go about it.

@Justwise et al,
Pls I need your advice.
I am on a care assistant job and I have maximised the Easter break with many hours of work.

Now term time starts on Monday and I will be back to 20hrs/week

each shift is 11hrs.

If I take 2 shifts, It already takes me to 22hrs. Will this be overlooked by the home office during assessment for PGWP or what's your advice?

That shouldn't be a prob, i think your earning sometimes could triggers attention from taxman.

When you are earning too much for a foreign student that could lead to taxman looking closely into what you do. Even the bank does that.

Ohh! Thank God I asked.
But is it true that if I am working in the health sector, I am not restricted to the 20hr/week limit?

Not true as you do not work for NHS

Good day all, I plan on undertaking an MSc in legal technology in the Uk, but I don't know how marketable such a course will be and the availability of jobs upon graduation. I will value any insights on these.

You are not fully employed by NHS, NHS does not pay you, agency does, so its not the same.

Is your visa written differently? However, you can work above 20hrs after finishing your program but not during semester period.
