This is absolutely correct... I have worked with roofing sheets at first/best Aluminum during IT days....I am very sure that first Aluminum colortek and Tower's colorcoat does not come in less than 0,40....they rarely make it so say. 0;40 for steptiles. 0,45 is base standard...

Yes they were so many issues with currugatting machines that caused small punch poles so small to see....even poor handling by roofers causes more harm to step tiles.....

Leave him and the consequences of not following your structural advice. I don't think a human could use leg to strengthen all the patterns that formed a step in a roofing sheet.
