I noticed that most churches especially the not so new ones insist intending couples seek the face or mind of God towards their union.

This is to ensure the supposed union has heavenly approval.

So the big question is this, Do they really hear from God, like words to the ears or is it the usual God given instinct that every one possess that they eventually rely on

I know for instance that that if someone meets a good wife or husband material, there is this peace of mind that comes with being with the person or the thought of getting married to the person.. It is worth to note that this feeling, instinct or intuition is also present in a normal human being

So,please do you guys really hear from God before getting married

It is best to first learn how to communicate with God before aspiring to hear from him.

There is a big difference in tje Chriatian world between God's Word and God's acts.

Just like a baby before the mother, there is a lot the mother can and will do for the well being of the child but a child will have to learn to communicate before he can have his own will established and his desires met.

I will always say that the most important decisions in the life of a Christian particularly those impacting and influencing relationships are best handled by God.

You certainly are not a mind reader neither can you be a soul influencer neither is your potential.partner obliged to fear you, so without God interfacing relationships in particular are no morr than wild gambles. It may work, it may not.

If you want certainty in your future relationship with a man or a woman as husband or wife let God run the show completely. By faith make your intentions and desires known to him and watch as he perfects a choice.

That is how this annoying guy told me that God revealed to him that am his wife .
The funny part is whenever am praying and asking God to show me my soulmate that is when this annoying guy's call will come up to interrupt my prayers . These days I don't even pray for any soulmate again , I just say my prayer without involving any husband anything again .
Still wonder how God will choose to reveal to just one person if truly he wants the union .
My cousin is suffering because of this God said ....

I think this is a fantastic question and you actually did answer it yoursef.

I wud say you jus "know",its not instinct like you said but "inner voice" or mayb your conscience" that's is always talking to you. So it depends on your level of purity,you always hear and heed to this voice.

This hear directly from God tin na wash,God "inner voice"is always talking to you/us. Like I said b4 you have answered it your self "there is this peace of mind" peace that surpasses all understanding.

Many pastors who you know as men in constant connection with God have turbulent marriages, some are divorced. Pay attention to warning signs and red flags. Make sure you both are compactible before getting married.

My experience - First off, I am not overly religious. Just before I got married, I had two guys interested in me: my husband and a young Nigerian doctor in America. Naturally, most girls would want to go for the doctor. I was praying for/about him one night when I heard a distinct voice in my thought say to me "Pray for (my husband's full name) instead. I was surprised.. At this time, I didn't even know his full name. I later found out his full name was what I heard. My husband was working, but his financial standing was nowhere near the doctor's. I wanted to rebel but I couldn't shake off that voice. I considered that God's direction and we got married. We've been married 12 years.

You Cannot Get GOD'S leading and Crash! It is impossible!

Many today go to GOD with their choice in mind and heart and that's why you get what is in your mind.

If you Genuinely need GOD'S Choice, go to GOD Genuinely with a Heart and Mind for only Him. Delete anyone from your thoughts.

I don't believe God has a choice for any man/woman. That ended since the days of Adam and Eve. What I believe happens is that when you have a closely-knit relationship with God, you will choose correctly because you will be guided by the Holy Spirit.

To say God's Choice would mean there's The One. There isn't the one. You can marry whoever you want and make it work.
What's important is that you're not unequally yoked... and both of you are in agreement.

It's unscriptural!
God doesn't speak to people about marriage, that is why we have different sizes, skin colours, heights, shapes and so on. You can choose any man/woman of your choice but you must select only from the midst of God's chosen people {Genesis 24:1-4} because each man must LOVE his wife as he does his own soul while each woman must have deep respect for her husband! Ephesians 5:33
So a Christian must ponder over certain attributes in either his or her prospective future partner, if you're a man the most important question to ask yourself:
Can i love always her?
Am i satisfied with her looks, gesture, posture, smiles, walks and other things that attracts me to females?
Do i love the beautiful ones or just the good cook?
Do i appreciate carrier ladies, industrious or housewife material?
Is she good in romance and the OTHER ROOM thing?
These are the things that will EASILY make you change within few months later from "Yes i do" to "NO, it was a mistake"
LOVE is NOT blind! Whatever you failed to include in your plan along is the obstacle that will cause the failure of your marriage.

As a female what you need is not much, the key is DEEP RESPECT so look intently at him not just with that desperate mindset but everything about RESPECT is what you must ponder over continually. Because whatever makes you loose the respect you had for him will surely lead to the failure of your marriage.

If you can find such a person in your religion then there is nothing to here from anybody unless the tenets of your Religion is not strong in the minds of adherents! 1Corinthians 7:39

My Brother, if you are truly looking up to GOD for Directions,there will be an Undeniable Conviction/ Encounter that GOD will give to you.

You will know it. There will be no confusion about it. The devil may try to bring some confusion but GOD's Direction will be so Sokid to you. You will know it.

Before I got I married I had quite a lots of sisters who were willing to be my wife. But I had a Deal with GOD. I told Him LORD if I don't Hear you, I will not Marry. And I was so serious about it.
The Day DADDY spoke to me was so odd. I was not expecting it. Early in the Morning on that day, I had woken up but I was still in bed . I heard Bodly and Clearly You are Going to Sosososo.....

At that time , it sounded foolish Because I has nothing to do with what I was told. But few months later I clearly understood what I heard because it came Exactly as I was told..

Insure heard from God. I was asleep and heard someone tell me something and that woke me up, only for me to realize nobody was in the room. I remember the voice was very clear and specific, but I chose to give it an interpretation to soothe my feelings.

Everything I heard had come to pass and still happening.

And guess what, He still speaks to people who seek His counsel.

I've been having this discussion with my two besties on our private WhatsApp group. They are spirikoko. One of them just abruptly ended her amazing serious relationship because she said she didn't hear from God.

I tried to understand if she lacked peace in the relationship, if she didn't love him, if they were incompatible in other ways. She answered no to all these questions.

And mind you, I know her boyfriend personally. We became friends, too. He's a great guy, and a good fit.

But this my babe seems to believe God has to speak to her. embarassed

I really don't know if it's audible voice she's waiting for.

A times people go to churches that the priest there doesn't or have no patience to hear from God or that they don't have patience to wait for a pure refined truth from God. Thus the issue of divorce....

Hearing from God may not actually be through a voice , it may be rather a test that the Priest can use to know the right partner for anybody, Wisdom is profitable to direct...

A priest can ask questions around, pray to God for direction, and before you know it, issues will spring up, and the priest will kindly use it to know what to say.....

Even as you come for marriage classes, the priest must have known if it will work or not by the understanding between two of you

Direction, guidance, taking your choice to God and asking Him to endorse is all we need.
And if that union will be wrong for you, God will orchestrate things to scatter it...

I have these two vioces contending Within me, that she's your wife, she is not your wife ooooo...I'm confused brother. This lady in question is a truely devoted child of God, she makes me move more closer to God than i had before I Met her... She's spiritually gifted, through her intercessory prayer I have learnt a great deal about my spiritual self.

Sir I must say this that she has the qualities everyman wants in a woman... 99% of what I prayed to God for

in fact she's an embodiment of the word Virtue.I haven't seen a lady of her kind i have taken time to observe and I do have good reports about her. I love her, she equally loves me.please help me. I have made vow to God never to date someone I can't marry, and this has kept me away from girls untill i met her. She too has been praying

He who finds a wife finds a good thing. God will not find a wife for you, you have to find a good woman yourself then he will favor you.

The wife he found for Adam brought problem to mankind and Adam accused God of falling because of the woman he gave him and since then God hands off finding wives for men
