Any where in the world guerrilla warfare is the most difficult to fight. As there are no distinct identity.

They can be among decision maker.
They could be among the military ranks and file. Their informant could be a market woman.

It is not easy as such.

It deals with winning the narrative in the hearts and minds of the population.

An efficient counter insurgency war would involve gaining territories and fortifying it. That way your narrative would sell, giving no room for the terrorist to provide an alternative.

That way chances of working as an informant for terrorist is reduced.

What this war should tell Nigerians is that Boko Haram, ISWAP in a way know that the checks and balances within the military is not efficient. Thus the reason why they can easily recapture territories even after loosing them.

They know lack of Budget is existing because it would cost a lot to setup a fortified base with all the necessary infrastructure that connects it to other operational stations.

They also know it will a waste of money to setup infrastructure in the middle of no where that is desert designated areas.

When the population see this back and forth tug of war, they rather settle for the terrorist group because it's their sons and daughters living amongst them.

While the soldiers would always have a set time.

Your suggestion is one way of attacking them. But effort should be placed on disrupting their logistics and finance.

but can you just condem what is wrong when you see one? All those past leaders you mentioned so far did better, they all tried thier best even Boko Haram never find it easy during Jonathan, now all criminals, terrorist and bandits are celebrated by buhari government, I've seen numbers of buhari and bandits sympathizer like you who also died/fell from thesame terorist bullets, if either you or your family have ever been a victims of situation in current Nigeria, you will change your words probably you won't be alive to know Nigeria have no future anywhere

I never said things are fine now ,I said we are a work in progress. To test down is very easy but to rebuild is a tiresome task.

Our nation needs an overhaul yes. But let us not allow evil people make us become hateful.

We will be alright eventually. We will keep hanging leaders till we get the right one who will fix things and hold these past leaders accountable.

But for now we must ensure our nation survives each day till we get there
