This is not the right time to join Nigeria army

Imagine been killed at a time when there is no war. When it very clear that the country is not at war with another country but a war created by greedy politicians.

I don't things there's sense in capturing this criminal. Kill them at slightest opportunity, that how to avert danger

Rip to those fighting for our safety
The soldiers made a big mistake, they don't have drones for good intelligence gathering to avert ambush , they decided to use the analog way of doing things. It's pathetic, good training and good military gadgets would have averted this.

mumu soldiers, even soldiers that have equipment more than you don't arrest terrorist

terrorist are meant to be shot at long and close range and not to be pampered. you arrest him and Buhari will order for his release with huge compensation

when you see these people killed and don't report them so that Gumi will not cry that you're killing his discipleship

Of course they have.

One of the Jangebe rescued students said the NAF bombers were what terrified the bandits the most.

I suspect internal sabotage if not they should have been wiped out by now.

Any where in the world guerrilla warfare is the most difficult to fight. As there are no distinct identity.

They can be among decision maker.
They could be among the military ranks and file. Their informant could be a market woman.

It is not easy as such.
Re: Damasak: 2 Soldiers Who Tried To Capture A Boko Haram Spy Killed In Ambush by tradepunter: 9:29pm On Apr 11, 2021
Infiltrating these terrorist groups is now harder than before..

The lessons from the fall of the caliphate in Iraq and Syria have birthed new vetting tradecraft within the ranks.

Prior to now there were successes of infiltrating via migratory route from Libya and Sudan of returning fighters. But now that's not the case because each cell leader have learnt and they now operate a triangular form of communication.

Advice would be for Nigeria to go full technical and signals intelligence on the cells... But then again the sabotaging of the power infrastructure in brono is making it have another dimension.

Utilizing of drones would be appropriate but because it's a new area of warfare developed nation's don't have structure in place for transfer of knowledge.

Sheik Gumi knows where bandits reside. He goes visiting once in a while yet d airforce has to waste fuel & man-hours to go& scare bandits instead of killing them. So after d scaring exercise u just mentioned, what happened next to d bandits?

You are correct but it's the reason why you have counterinsurgency warfare...

It deals with winning the narrative in the hearts and minds of the population.

An efficient counter insurgency war would involve gaining territories and fortifying it. That way your narrative would sell, giving no room for the terrorist to provide an alternative.

That way chances of working as an informant for terrorist is reduced.

What this war should tell Nigerians is that Boko Haram, ISWAP in a way know that the checks and balances within the military is not efficient. Thus the reason why they can easily recapture territories even after loosing them.

They know lack of Budget is existing because it would cost a lot to setup a fortified base with all the necessary infrastructure that connects it to other operational stations.

They also know it will a waste of money to setup infrastructure in the middle of no where that is desert designated areas.

When the population see this back and forth tug of war, they rather settle for the terrorist group because it's their sons and daughters living amongst them.

While the soldiers would always have a set time.

"Fake news"... scores of fighters killed all the time but the guerillas keep multiplying in numbers only because those who see others as infidels and beneath them, and masquerading in the corridors of power give them the utensils to cook this unhealthy meal daily.

The "Fulani Wing" of the Nigerian Army and the Fulani Terrorists are one and the same.
That is what we get when we elect a "foreign terrorist" from Niger Republic, as the President of Nigeria.

If the bolded is true, why then does the Army not adopt a strategy of CARPET-BOMBING such isolated, uninhabited locations that the terrorists occupy?
The Nigerian military is more interested in bombing Southern Nigeria locations occupied by Civilians (Akwa Ibom, Benue, South East, etc), than bombing terroirists locations in the North., according to the instructions of their Fulani heirachy.
Such Miliatry has made itself the butt of jokes of many nations.

Your suggestion is one way of attacking them. But effort should be placed on disrupting their logistics and finance.

That way chances of working as an informant for terrorist is reduced.

but can you just condem what is wrong when you see one? All those past leaders you mentioned so far did better, they all tried thier best even Boko Haram never find it easy during Jonathan, now all criminals, terrorist and bandits are celebrated by buhari government, I've seen numbers of buhari and bandits sympathizer like you who also died/fell from thesame terorist bullets, if either you or your family have ever been a victims of situation in current Nigeria, you will change your words probably you won't be alive to know Nigeria have no future anywhere
I never said things are fine now ,I said we are a work in progress. To test down is very easy but to rebuild is a tiresome task.

Our nation needs an overhaul yes. But let us not allow evil people make us become hateful.

We will be alright eventually. We will keep hanging leaders till we get the right one who will fix things and hold these past leaders accountable.

But for now we must ensure our nation survives each day till we get there

How will the nation survive when the "Captains of the Ship" are bent on a suicide mission?
Just accept that the current President is a terrorist Sympathiser, Simple.
As absurd as that may be, if we factor in the fact that he is a Fulani, he has his roots in another country (Niger Republic), he and hell RUfai invited these Fulani terrorists from all over W/African states and Morroco, to come and cause mayhem if he looses the 2015 election (which he won), their decision to "hold land", as against Nomadic life and Buhari has assured them that the best place to settle is Nigeria, where he is President and does not give a Bleep about how many lives are lost to achieve that plan and that the terrorists are of his own Fulani stock (he said so himself but added that they are foreign Fulanis).................... Is it not feasible, even if not very clear to his sympathisers that he and his fellow Fulani are behind the enduring Fulani terrorism plaguing Nigeria?

It is not rocket science to see.
The Insurgency and terrorism Problem of Nigeria quadrupled since Buhari came to Office, as he has assigned the military to protect the terrorists, he pays them Money and encourages them thus,it is getting worse by the day.
I hope we can wobble and fumble to 2023 when we can get rid of this cancer but my instincts tell me that the enxt two years will be so bad that we wont be able to hold it together, as they accelerate their Genocide Plan, knowing that 2023 is fast approaching.

We just need to stand our ground steadfastly, No Retreat, No Surrender
