Lagos To Switch From Analogue To Digital TV Broadcasts By April 29 by Mynd44(mod):
Save the date. April 29, 2021 - Lagos State will be switching from Analogue TV broadcasting to Digital. Lagosians will, using an inexpensive set-top box & antenna, get access to potentially dozens of TV channels. Digital TV is higher quality video & audio, than analog. #DSObyNBC

Digital TV also frees up a lot of spectrum, which can be used for other things, like wireless broadband. The amount of spectrum needed to transmit one analog TV channel will transmit multiple digital channels. Digital TV allows so much more than Analogue. [

With the digital switchover it will now finally be possible, I believe, to accurately measure viewing numbers and patterns/habits - among other benefits.

There's nothing exciting about this news because even the so called free tv by NBC is trash undecided

The picture quality is so low, the channels don't have any meaningful content that can make viewers stay glued to their TVs and above it all the customer service is so useless when it comes to solving complaints.

Out of excitement I purchased the decoder and paid the 1500 yearly digital Access fee only for me to discover that the whole thing is overrated

Same tin with dstv,we are tired of analog,we need digital with broadband attached to it,not having digital, then we go still dey battle data. If they make it 3k for 40gb naija don better be that. Useless development, countries wey don go digital since 1999.

Ghana has been using digital TV since 2014
Nigeria has been using it for years too.
But only in some parts.
You and I know that Nigeria is a much bigger country than little Ghana.
