There's nothing exciting about this news because even the so called free tv by NBC is trash undecided

The picture quality is so low, the channels don't have any meaningful content that can make viewers stay glued to their TVs and above it all the customer service is so useless when it comes to solving complaints.

Out of excitement I purchased the decoder and paid the 1500 yearly digital Access fee only for me to discover that the whole thing is overrated

Oga, FreeTV is different oooo. Let's see how this goes.

Did every broadcasting station/cooperation in Ghana switch at thesame time? Note that this is Lagos, not the whole of Nigeria. Educate yourself before acting smart.
Don't mind them . There are 2 types of digital switch over. There's UHF and VHF, they have spent years on UHF and yet to complete the VHF despite being a small country.
The true fact is that it was a global agreement and timelines mutually set and agreed upon.
For large markets like ours, the process may not come without the challenges a small country like Ghana or Togo or Benin will face.

I said news from
Nigeria. And Lagos state is in Nigeria . And yes they all switched the same time . Because a time frame was given . Let say , by January 2022, all stations would have to switch. They all switched before then ... my point is,as giant of Africa and big Nigeria is with the population in Lagos state , it’s in 2121 they are changing to digital... The other time also they talked about gas for cars and it was a big deal in Nigeria , and I told my brothers in Nigeria , Gas cars have been in Ghana for 10 years now ....

Kenya too switched to digital TV eons ago. Feb 15th 2015 was the last day that Kenyans watched TV via analogue format. I can't believe Nigeria is still in the analogue era! It's laughable for sure, no offence! smileysmileysmiley

So you think Lagos alone is Nigeria? Quite obvious many here know only Lagos. Digital broadcasting has been on in some states of the nation for years now. Lagos is just catching up.
