Neither proforce and the NA DICON cannot meet the army urgent demands !

The way you worded your statement makes it seem like you are saying that they can meet the demand, but assuming it's the opposite that you meant, what explanation is there for buying MRAPs from 3 or 4 different nations? The Chinese ones can't meet demand? The south african ones can't? These saudi ones can't?

When demand increases, capacity increases. If you gave a firm order of 200 MRAPs to proforce, they would increase production and expand, that's how you build up your industry.

Looks like the same Media Company that was given access to cover the SOF competition is also producing its own Movie

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhAHKgorP78

Nigeria you started it, Now it seems Kenya is also doing it too ... i.e. Producing a combat movie for the love of the military, inspired by local and current events, and whereby the production company is given real access to the military to help them produce a realistic movie.

Psychological warfare at its best..boosts the image and perceived capability of the military in the eyes of the populace to attract the best talent during recruitment..has worked for the US with SOCOM and the general US military sponsoring movies from time to time to boost recruitment numbers

What sort of an urgent need is that?

There is disquiet in the land at the weekend following an allegation that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Alhaji Isa Ali Ibrahim, also known as Sheikh Pantami, has fallen on the watch list of the America’s Intelligence Service.

Ibrahim, also the Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Sharia Council in Nigeria and a former student of Salafist ideologies, was trained in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East with other top Islamic jihadists.

Before his appointment as a minister, Ibrahim was a known Islamic preacher and held what was termed ‘dangerous views’ against the American government with allegiance to Al-Qaeda.

According to a report, the minister was said to be a very close confidant of the late Mohammed Yusuf, the killed leader of Boko Haram with whom he allegedly shared jihadist doctrines.

According to Western Intelligence, the minister had ties with Abu Quatada al Falasimi and other Al-Qaeda leaders that he revered and spoke glowingly of in several of his videos on YouTube.

In one of his narratives, Ibrahim had eulogised Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi as a great leader, who joined Al-Qaeda group after emigrating to Afghanistan at the end of the September 11, 2001 terror attack on the World Trade Centre in America.

This is what he wrote about Abu Musab: “Under the Osama’s leadership, he became the unit commander of army of AlQaeda with the support of the Commander of the loyal Maula Umar (Taliban leader).

Nigeria always comparing their trash with international standard... You fabricated a noisy contraption in the name of MRAP and all of a sudden you want to measure shoulder with the well established south African defense industry that has been building MRAPs since the days of the Bush war. You did movie how good was the movie? Does it appeal to emotions, does it shed a good light on the armed forces or was it just a nonsense effort at creativity.
Try again with someone else. I think you are mistaking me for a Nigerian, I am Kenyan and we have nothing to do with whatever you just posted.

And Today .............

President Uhuru Kenyatta presides over the official opening of the Small Arms Factory in Ruiru, Kiambu County. The President said through the local production of weaponry, Kenya seeks to enhance self-reliance, domestic innovation, and strengthening of local manufacturing capabilities, while offering decent jobs for her youth. He said the arms factory which is part of the National Security Industries Network is in line with the Manufacturing Pillar of the Big Four Agenda, as well as the Kenya Vision 2030. The new factory was developed at a cost of Kshs 4 billion and has an annual single-shift manufacturing capacity of 12,000 assault rifles with 60% of components being locally manufactured.

Paramount Group scooped over 30 ex-UK military Gazelles on an auction.

Two of them have already been sold and delivered to the Mozambique Air Force this month.

SA341B now registered FA-083 (WA1966) (ex-ZB673) and SA341B, new registration FA-085 (WA1435) (ex-XX445) were both spotted in Nacala Airport, Moz.

The rest of the machines, in excellent mechanical condition, are being readied for export from the UK.

Our military planners love to waste money, it's sad and unfortunate.

Nigerian army have bought nearly 10 different types of MRAPs.

Shameful.

That's a problem. Assume different protection levels and servicing requirements which can make tactical deployment and maintenance a nightmare

Wow! The first pic is a 4,maybe 5 axis CNC mill that gives even better precision for micromachining giving tighter tolerances for finished products.

A 21st-century marvel, a 5 axis CNC machine is capable of impeccable product and parts creation. This extremely fast milling machine, unlike the 3 axis and 4 axis, has the capabilities to efficiently and impressively produce:

Artificial Bones
Aerospace Products
Titanium Creations – For Both Practical and Artistic Purposes
Oil and Gas Machine Parts
Car Moulds
Medical Technology
Architectural Door Frames
Military Grade Products
http://www.owensind.com/CNC-Information/MultiAxisMilling

I had a similar post here.

https://www.nairaland.com/3220297/technical-discussions-international-military-equipments/598#95023133

The same machining skills are directly transferrable to aerospace fields. When this facility is scaled up it could be a veritable King Abdullah Design and Development Centre, now known as Jordan Design and Development Bureau,JODDB.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Abdullah_Design_and_Development_Bureau
Fyi,they've built a C 295 light gunship,fyi.
Airbus Defence and Space has signed an agreement with King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) and ATK for conversion of a C295 tactical transport aircraft into a gunship version for Jordan.

Signed at the ongoing Eurosatory 2014 in Paris, the agreement will see the companies working together to develop an AC-295 gunship version for the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF).

The configuration is expected to be based on the AC-235 light gunship, which features integrated mission and fire control systems, electro-optical and radar sensors, Hellfire missiles, ATK-built side-mounted M230 30mm chain gun, an integrated defensive suite, as well as 2.75in guided rockets.
https://www.airforce-technology.com/news/newsairbus-atk-to-develop-c295-gunship-version-for-jordan-4296133/

It began in 1999 and now produces everything from MRAPs,body armour, licensed FSB rebuilds (they rebuilt RSAF F 5s for us in 2005,rmbr?) King Abdullah and Uhuru share good chemistry. If it were me,though I'd target the US civvy gun market. HUUUGE,moneyed and very market savvy. Establish a name there and the sky literally is the limit.

This is the exact opposite of what NIGERIA currently needs right now , were Nigeria to even accept such a gift or buy such silly helicopters it would mean corrupt practices have reared its ugly head:
What NIGERIA needs :
MI-171 E - Because it has Troop carrying capabilities , NAF pilots are already trained on it so there is no need to send Pilots abroad for expensive lessons.
When the NA sets up it NA Aviation wing it should be for a helicopter that is still being manufactured and will have the ability to purchase spare parts .
Good Luck to South Africa and Mozambique on their purchase , NIGERIA should concentrate on the MI-171e and the Augusta 139 ARMED VERSION .

There is already, under freedom of information act, and the Constitution and other laws like crimwnil law and tort, and even the recent hate speech act.Tort made provision for it under libel as a civil remedy... while crimnwl law criminalises it under defamation, no need to make a special law, otherewse it will be duplicity of laws which this country is already suffering from.
