So I did #1500 sub on MTN, and I was giving a free Youtube night sub. Before sleeping, I decided to check out some videos on YouTube.

As I dey watch the videos, something dey tell me make I check my data, after checking I was shock MTN was deducting my normal monthly subscription instead of deducting from the YouTube night sub.

I won't lie, this country matter don tire me. This is nothing but robbery by MTN. I have the plans of writing NCC. Please do I have a case?

I'm so pissed off with this country, nothing seems to be working. If I no get the free night youtube subs, I go know for my mind say nah my data I wan use, but you tell me say I get free Youtube sub, yet you're still deducting from my data Ayam not understanding this at all.

If there are terms and conditions, MTN Nigeria should have sent the terms and conditions through SMS. The message sent to me was clear, I have free night sub for watching videos on YouTube, Why should they be deducting from my data balance then? I've been so pissed off since yesterday night and giving up on this country.

There is almost nothing person dey enjoy for this country as a Nigerian. No light, no good road etc.

Can I table this matter before the NCC? I've been calling MTN customer care for like 2 month now, I've not been able to get through to them.

We can't just keep sitting down and doing nothing while this organisation keeps on doing anyhow they like.

The day I didn't have an active plan on MTN and I tried to use the YouTube free night sub because I couldn't sleep, it just kept on loading and loading, I thought it was because I have not data plan though I have YouTube data o.

Now wey I sub again, nah my normal data dem dey comot... Which kin country be this Nigeria sef?

I've been so pissed off I couldn't even sleep well.

I just tire for this Nigeria. If I have the means, I am going to sue them for a huge amount of money. They dare not do all this nonsense in a country like the USA, them go use lawsuit ruin their life.

You can't even protest. Because of the few billions Nigerian shareholders make from their shares in MTN, regulators have looked the other way as a foreign company rips the citizens apart. It's heartbreaking!
Unfortunately, most Nigerians don't know because they haven't used networks elsewhere. If you have lived in Asia, you will notice that the only time you check your phone balance is when you visit Nigeria..

And as it regards internet connection, why is the country making no more efforts to set up solid structures for direct land lines connections? That's far cheaper and carter's for the poorer segment of the population.. Nigeria must be the only country of her size whose enermous population gets their internet connections through mobile devices! That's soooo costly both for individuals and particularly businesses! This country is so anti-business! In places like China, direct line connections are so cheap and so fast you can download a stone in a second for free!

What about ip numbers/codes for foreign calls?!
I mean how does the government keep quiet and allow her citizens spend so much to make foreign calls to loved ones living outside? Countries with huge population outside do have these codes to reduce cost!

If the problem persists, you need to report it to the NCC

You can write them, but i doubt they would take any action.

No mind dem that is how they do. They are corporate thieves.

My advice to you is to always toggle your network whenever you want to use the YouTube plan..
First of all open the YouTube app, now put your phone on airplane mode then remove it back and start watching videos the network will detect that you are now on YouTube and start using your YouTube plan instead of your main data.
Always works for me

Glo seem to be good for the past 1 year. If you have a good Glo network in your area, you might want to try them.

My main line na MTN, but e dey my small Nokia java phone, I only dey use am receive calls and recharge my Glo SIM
