That tells you if Lagos is not developed, if nothing good is happening there, people won't relocate enmass to the state..

So yes Lagos is accommodating other Nigerians...
All Nigerians have investment in Lagos.
There is always a place that performs better than the others in every country.

Do they pay taxes elsewhere in Nigerian?
Do their kids get FREE (and relatively good) public education elsewhere in Nigeria?
Anyway, they should be paying their due taxes EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE in Nigeria - that’s the price and duty of citizenship.

Just because people are tax DODGERS in Kaura Namoda should not be advanced as justification for tax DODGING in Lagos...
Unfortunately, many Nigerians only see citizenship as a one-way street - all rights and privileges without any responsibilities. SMH

What's the % of non indegenes that are paying tax in Lagos?

Are those hawking Gala, Fan Yogurt also paying tax?
Non indegenes are the major tax payer's in lagos. Alot of companies in lagos are owned by non indegenes and they pay heavy taxes, both small business owners in major markets debeloped and occupied by non indegenes pay heavy taxes as well. Oga if lagos was only occupied by indegenes it would have been a shadow of its self. You are talking as if lagos has anything to offer. Touts are just everywhere commiting theft.

Then why should you be talking about all non-indigenes paying tax in Lagos state?
I didn't use the word non-indigenes. All Nigerians who are eligible for tax in lagos pay tax.

Yes the whole Nigeria is for all Nigerians but we have region which is meant for the Indigenous people..

If Lagos or any of the SW states are not doing good in terms of development, people won't be flocking there..
No where is meant for anyone. If you are tired of living with fellow Nigerians, then you should consider going 6 ft's below.

Dude, the Niger Delta DESERVES its special status, but so does Lagos as well.

But as I already noted, Lagos is UNLIKELY to get it...
Because Nigerians (even those benefiting from Lagos) are simply too PRIMITIVELY tribalistic.

Agitations were because of environmental issues caused by oil companies that took away people's source of livelihood.

Lagos benefits from its huge population. they generate the highest igr

Nigeria is Lagos and Lagos is Nigeria. The believe of every non Nigerian

Ask most of the foreigners abroad if they know Nigeria is the giant of Africa, the next thing you will hear is "oh Lagos"

Likewise, till now the believe of the foreigners is Lagos is still the capital city of Nigeria thinking Abuja is a small place within Lagos.

Once God lifts you up, no one, no person, no creature, no power and no jupiter can bring you down.
Do have blessed day

is there anywhere in the Nigerian Constitution that says only some certain group of people are allowed to live in a particular place?

All Nigerians have investments in Lagos because Lagos has made the environment hospitable for ALL Nigerians...

It’s probably the only state where any Nigerian (even foreigners) can acquire land/property without much hassle. It’s the only state that I know in Nigeria that gives grants/low interest loans to ALL Nigerians (resident in Lagos), without regard to so-called State of Origin, and similarly grants FREE public education for pupils from all across Nigeria also without to so-called State of Origin. Lagos is a state that appoints non-indigenes into its cabinet, and similarly elects non-indigenes to represent its constituencies. Accordingly, Nigerians from all across the nation freely and eagerly flock to Lagos because it is an ATTRACTIVE destination. While many other states are busying chasing away non-indigenes.

There are states where citizens get better from their government than Lagos.
Almost everyone who earns in Lagos pay tax to the government. The hustlers in the street pay weekly and daily to the government.

They can only generate any IGR if there’s investment in infrastructure to make the population PRODUCTIVE...
That’s one nexus that most Nigerians obsessed with SHARING money fail to grasp. Lagos needs support to support ALL Nigerians.

So why are jealous of people who lives in Lagos? Are they denying you of anything? Are they in any way responsible for your life problems?

Jealous, nah, we are only reminding them that they should behave well in our region..

The way they do in their region is different from the way we do things.. So they should maintain their lane
