There is nothing "Nigerian" about this man and the army fatigue he put on. He is either a Kenyan or an Ugandan Ranger. He is definitely not a Nigerian Soldier.

His physique, head/face and dark curly hair resemble those of northern Uganda or South Sudan. He has got that Nilotic ethnic features.

No it's a shovel, a spade has a flattened edge while for a shovel it's curved...check the photo the tool has a curved edge
