Gunmen Kill Three Police Officers In Ebonyi, Cart Away Rifles by Doraty1(op): 12:04pm On Apr 15, 2021

Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed three policemen while the officers were on ‘stop and search’ along Onuebonyi, Nwezenyi Road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, DAILY POST has gathered.

It was gathered that the incident occurred Wednesday night when the gunmen opened fire on the officers, killed three and carted away rifles belonging to the deceased.

When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Odah Loveth Obianuju told DAILY POST that the incident “could be true but it’s not officially confirmed yet”.

According to her, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operation, was at the scene to ascertain the level of damage.

She said: “It could be true but I’m still waiting for the Deputy Commissioner of Operation who has gone to the area for an on-the-spot assessment to actually come back with the details of this report”.

She promised to get back to our correspondent after the return of the Deputy Commissioner.

Why do you people take delight in delving into what you know nothing about? Which Edo state is safe?Hahaha. ..Edo has never been this insecure for the past 8months . Insecurity has nothing to do with political party, it's a pan-Nigerian problem right now. Perhaps you forgot that zamfara is a PDP controlled state. Even the benue you made reference to is still experiencing brutal killings till date. If you're current, you would've seen what happened there recently. Please let's stop this infantile political coloration of insecurity. It's not a PDP /APC thing, Nigeria is currently under her worst siege of insecurity since independence. I doubt if more people were killed during the civil war than we're currently experiencing today in Nigeria. There was indeed a Country !
