It is condescending to do that, but it is still better than being involved in criminality.

Wait....He sold his ONLY PLOT of land for a master's certificate. To me that's a terrible financial decision. It would have even being better if he invested it in the scrap business.

But no matter, As u are trying for an honest living, I wish u the very best & u shall SUCCED by the grace of God

That course he read, that's the main issue.

Development Studies. Where would he get job?

The problem was that he got a degree that won't get him a job.

If ye all know that this scrap business is a million naira venture. Those coming for his head should do a background check on the business. It is very lucrative

Nigerians need to learn HUMILITY...
That’s why many end up in Yahoo and criminality.

Should have used that money realized from the sale of land to start a business or something. Education beyond secondary school is a scam in Nigeria except some key professional courses.

Master's degree holder should be able to come up with something better to do.

Stop generalizing, you will not hear. One of the best lecturers I have seen in a very highly ranked University outside this country is an aboki.
There are other ones like that. Stop generalization. Even this guy, maybe making so much money from his scrap. Stop generalization and stop looking down on people

-Despite having a Master’s degree, Yazid Surajo is a scavenger.

-He chose to do menial jobs rather than stay idle, waiting for a white collar job. He recently posted on his Facebook page, his pictures carrying some scrap and copies of his certificates saying ‘It’s better to die on your feet than to live on your knees, I would rather be dirty and satisfied than clean and hungry’.

- Daily Trust Saturday met with him in Lagos where he does his scrap business and he shed more light on how he was able to study to Master’s degree level despite the challenges he encountered.

His dream should not be killed. His state government should rehabilitate him with good job. It would also erase the impression among the youths in the region that western education is useless and a Haram/forbidden.
