Ah! They just said the certification is supposed to be from Nigeria and not south africa

It may be better to certify the document once and for all. I went there with notarized copy (done in high court) and was turned back!

Certification is done at the ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja.

When I submitted mine, it was legalization (of my own marriage certificate) that was requested but your case and application is different. I want to believe that notarization will serve the purpose.

I don't really think they are different. Every marriage certificate submitted to the South Africa Embassy is expected to be certified at ministry of foreign affairs.
I'm particular about SA embassy because no other embassies from where I have processed visa had ever requested marriage certification from me.

The requirement is actually ridiculous. I also had court wedding and it was the certificate from the court that I submitted. Are they saying court wedding certificate is not genuine enough?

Please who knows schools in South Africa that does not require SAQA for postgraduate studies?

Certify at foreign affairs Abuja, 500 naira per copy. You submit before 12 and collect from 3/4pm (forgot exact time) same day.

Not sure if one has to notarize before you certify or if its d same thing. Good luck!

5k to notarize? That's terrible expensive. Even legalization is about 7-10k if a 3rd party is doing it for you.

Asked same question, waited for almost a year after applying to Stellenbosch. Up till now, they haven't looked at my application two years running now. Did saqa got admission in less than two months. Just close eye and do Saqa. I didn't want to too. But it pays off eventually.

University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University do not need Saqa . However their fees are extremely high and admission process very competitive because most students from Europe prefer these schools . I will encourage you to do saqa so that you can apply to many schools .

10 weeks to process a visit visa. Nigeria had better not participate in this ACFTA as it will be a fraud against Nigeria. Humans still can’t move freely within Africa yet countries like USA process applications from Nigeria under one week and 14 days for U.K. and most EU nationals.

Good afternoon everyone, we are currently in a mess my sister apply for sa visa from Ghana and she was granted. We bought a ticket through wakanow on Ethiopian airlines but to my surprise they said they can’t carry her because the visa was issued in Ghana so they don’t carry her to Cape Town. We were told to buy Kenya airlines to carry her go Cape Town that is only Kenya can carry her as sa airlines is not coming to the country currently. I need advise as anyone experienced such before.

Except the airline is not flying that route which is weird.

You may need to reach out to CX for them to provide more clarity.

Or better yet get a refunds and try Kenya airways.
