Police job is to protect members of the public from imminent harm. This guy could have finished his work and was in non threatening position when they found him. If they found him lunging at someone and they have gun, they will shoot him there and then.

If they found him with hands up or not in close proximity to a member of the public, even after stabbing someone, they will arrest him. It's a simple stuff.

If that Policeman had arrived after that girl had already killed the other girl and she was in a non threatening position, she will likely be arrested rather than shot. Killers get arrested everyday.

No. You mentioned at some point that you are happy there are only 2 or 3 police casualty in the UK and you love it like that. You should also know the reason for that is because the police over there are well trained and manage/de-escalate situations better. They are not so quick to squeeze the trigger or bring in armed unit everytime. Imagine if the UK police where to shoot every suspect in the massive number of knife attacks in the UK, do you honestly think the casualty would be at 2 or 3 deaths per year. I don't think so.

We also have guns (alot of it in Canada), yet we have rates as death rates from police shooting very low. Even as low as some countries in Europe without guns. The difference is the training of cops.

At the same time, you are for the US police shooting at sight to kill at any instance of threat. If that is not hypocrisy as I mentioned earlier, then I don't know what it is.

I am pro law enforcement myself if the enforcement is without bias. If I as a citizen can carry a weapon,
I surely believe that police officers should do too. My point of disagreement with you is that the police will give Whites the benefit of doubt that they never extended to Black and Hispanics. I am not a threatening guy and I carry myself well but I dread having any contact with them because you don't even know if the officer is a White supremacist or not.

When I worked union, we used to joke that for an employee to get kicked out of the company, that means the employee must have stolen something big or did something very stupid that caused the death of another employee. And this is just for a union of electrical workers in the power system field. Imagine if it was now a police union where they have more at stake. The union would often time stand behind their member even when the member commits 1/10th of an offence that would have easily led to a termination in a private owned business. There are several lazy employees that would rather stick with a union job even if that union job pays less than a private company willing to double their wages.

I am pro-police as well, and here in Canada, I feel they deserve the 6 figure wages they receive. However, I dislike bad cops anywhere in the world. Luckily, we don't have lots of those ones here in Canada. Just like our immigration system that filters out riff-raffs, goodluck to anyone trying to get an interview to join a police department in Canada without atleast 2 years completed law/enforcement diploma or a four years related degree in law enforcement/criminology..

As vile as the young lady is, that kind of shooting is unnecessary and I can bet you that if that sixteen year old is white, she would still be alive. Kyle Rittenhouse was having his AR 15 on his body after killing two people in Kenosha and he was not shot by the police and he was given a bottle of cold water to drink afterward. Dylan Roof killed 9 people in a church Bible study in Charleston, South Carolina and he was never shot when he was arrested and in fact he was bought a DoubleCheese Burger when he complained of being hungry.
