Happy Sunday brethren. Let me go straight to the point. If I have three wives when am still in the world and the 3 of them are legally and fully married. All of them have children 6,4, and 2 children respectfully. And today am now a born again. And the word of God only permit only wife. .so in this case what do I do. 1 should I sent two of them away and stick with only one. 2 should I sent the three of them away. 3. or should I keep the three of them? what should one do in this condition? Somebody asked me this question and I don't know what to reply him. Please who can give us a reasonable answer biblically? I will be very happy if it can be pushed to the front page. If your wives have children for you, you don't need to send them away empty handed. I believe your first wife is your legal wife, keep her but you can also take care of your other wives and children. 1 Like |

Princewell2012:what I am aware done in this case is this, you choose 1 among the 3 to be having sexual relationship with but care for all the 3 financially, the other 2 are free to remarry if they want.the kids are 100% your responsibility.when Christianity came to Africa more than a 100 years ago, this practice was very common. most men had multiple wives and this was how the church solved it |

Princewell2012: The three wives are yours keep them. If you chase them away who do expect to get married to them. King David was a man after Gods heart and he had many wives and many girlfriends (concubines). Initially the Christian faith does not bother about wedding ceremony and how many wives you marry as long as the bride was not stolen or kidnapped. All these stuff started in the 17th or 18th century. Please enjoy your life you have not committed any sin. As long as they were duly married |

Princewell2012:  I am not Fighting at all, I am just going about it in a Matter of Fact way."Consent is The Law"! You willfully took them up and made promises to them (Contract), they have altered their Status and become liable because of the marriage eg Death from Adultery! Therefore, you bound them and they are bound to you, thus, you can not put any of them away without a reasonable good cause. Case in point Jacob, David and the Silence, not Absence of The Law Forbidding more than one wife! You have already broken the first Law (He made them male and female) but you need not continue breaking more Laws eg Promise/Covenant/Contract Breakers,of which the Mercy and Grace of God is that we should STOP BREAKING LAWS, For We Have Broken Them In Our Times Past, but it must not continue. SO I CLEARLY SAY, DO NOT PUT THEM AWAY! |

From the Scriptures which is our Guide, what is Permitted by GOD Almighty the institutor of Marriage is one man one wife. See Matthew 19:4-9. Your rightful wife is the first woman you Legally got married to. Every other woman is a Husband snatcher , Home breaker, Home Shatterer, Sin Partner and Adulterer. As long as the First woman you got married to is alive, she is your wife. Now that you are Saved, you have to call them together, Probably with their parents or family representatives. You let them know that based on your Repentance and belief in God's word, you want to make things right. You settle 2nd , 3rd, 4th and so on. You send them to their home of their Parents. The kids are your kids so they remain under your care. The first woman you married is your wife. Princewell2012: Ignorance (I know, but I refused to listen) is not lack of knowledge (I did not know at all and could not reasonable know about it) Ignorance is not a D'Fence but Lack of reasonable knowledge is a D'Fence! Therefore if it is Truly ignorance, you have already finished committing the offence and it is irreparable, therefore, Mercy is what you are playing for, and you do not want to increase your offences. But if it is lack of knowledge, then no offence is committed. But you will be committing an offence in putting them away, to wit Covenant Breaker! Jesus Christ was clear that the only valid divorce is divorce for sin of fornication, every other reason is sin against God. You, in transmitting this to others as if right, also commit sin against God in your ignorance |

I have not been able to get any convinced answer here. One said I sent away two and keep one while someone here says I should keep all of them, that they are my responsibility. Do you agree with it? Who can help us here? |
