Great Camera For Taking Pictures Of My Work by MzCorleone(f): 3:43pm On Apr 25, 2021
Hi guys, please I need your help.

I am a baker and one of my selling point is uploading eye catching pictures on social media. Most times I work very late into the night and the cakes are picked up early the next day, so I have to make do with taking pictures at night. Most of the pictures and videos I make for content are not on per.

I need a new phone and my budget is between 50k-100k. (am also thinking of getting a ring light) so that the pictures can come out as bright and beautiful as possible without much editing.

I am in a delimma someone said I should go for a UK used iPhone 8plus another person suggested getting an OPPO phone.

What I really need is (are)
-good battery life
-great camera quality for my cake pictures
Budget is between 50k-100k.
Thank you.

Regular iPhone 8 is good enough but either case, even if it's iPhone 12, you will still need to edit them to make them pop on social media. A simple lightroom edit, done in 15 seconds can make all the difference. You can also use snapseed or picart or whatever you prefer.

Get a UK used pixel 3XL. Or pixel 4a

You can take good shots of your cake even in dark environs.

Iphone 8 (used ones got questionable battery life if you gonna utilize the cameras most of the time).

Redmi devices from Note 7 or Note 9 series (camera are good, with gcam and the right configs, it's on par with an iPhone. Kinda Decent battery even with camera use).

Google Pixels (OG in computational photography. Just point and shoot with the correct lighting. Battery life is so-so).

LG G8 (shines on camera when using manual mode plus installing gcam is optional. Battery life kinda decent if you gonna use the camera for long plus it looks like an iPhone if Apple allowed Android on their phones grin )

You need to be acquainted with photoshop app(s) to spice em pics a bit.

personally i feel it all comes down to the photographer
1) For a baker youll have to get a device that has 'food mode' (personally i dont think it does anything tho)
2) the camera...for smartphone photography I'll recommend you get an external lens(a telephoto external lens will do) i own a moment 20x macro lens and I will tell you that the photography experience is divine (I use an infinix s5) and i know the limitations of my camera but the lens DOESN'T improve your phone camera it just assist
3) As Henry has said never be afraid of editing even our babas in Getty images uses the edit tool too to improve... depending on your mood don't over edit (I'm guilty of this sha)
4) always try out new things, take interesting angles of your work (close-up shots) is a bomb here...there are pictures i took with my palasa and people dont believe I took them or even my phone did.Be ready to learn, watch videos on photography tips
I'm so sorry for the sermon but i thought that if I was to say something I should just say it all
all in all there is no perfect camera as the only perfect camera you have is your eyes, other guys may come and give you recommendations on what phone to buy but if you use even the Redmi nt11 ultra's camera without a definte purpose it will just be another good picture out there. I want your pieces to standout and I know you want the same too
thanks for requesting my opinion NAMASTE

How expensive are the external lens?

I edit my pictures here and there but since it's food related, I want it to look natural as possible.
Don't want a case of what I ordered VS what I got.

Am currently using a hauwei y9, the camera quality is not just there

firstly you are most welcome
now about the lens if you check jumia youll see different types and standards of lens I wouldn't recommend you buying just any one there are cheap ones like there was one I saw for 3k then plus delivery it was about 5k+ that was cheap but when I made research about that brand it turns out to be below standard so I'll recommend you get any of this two "moment telephoto or the skyvik signi(not sure how its spelt tho) my moment was given to me i didn't buy it but I doubt if jumia has moment products in stock but you can check it up or better still check ebay or Amazon
yea for food related issues you should always try to reduce the noise during editing like even if you don't do other things reduce noise then take unusual angles not always the old boring over-head style be creative
try to know the strengths and weakness of your shooter( you may get a flagship device and if you don't know this you might still complain about the same thing)does your camera fare well when there is too much light, does it do well when the light is facing the subject/or the camera(I don't recommend this one sha) do you clean the lens before taking pictures,do you use the flash on your phone(personally I never use the flash I'll rather get another source of light)
