Trenteee:Yo, those of us that were born and present in Lagos when tinubu was in charge know that he must not become president of anything at all. all these people supporting him are either under 20 or people not from Lagos so you can't really blame them they are just doing "them say" to support him. |

mu2sa2:You can't stop a fast moving train. I just wish he can be a little selfless. As for brain, Jagaban is world's most intelligent human. If he becomes Nigeria's President, then I am 100% sure that he will influence next US, UK and Russia elections. But will he be doing it for the people? No, he will be doing it for his selfish interest. |

The real fact is that this is democracy, we are equal,no one is above the law in Lagos State and they should leave the efcc alone to do their work, all d fact is that we should respect and obey the Constitution in the country, most don't obey the Constitution both the citizens and the rulers sha |

You can see the extent of politicking the Jagaban could go just to escape justice. Imagine Tinubu as president of Nigeria, he will just be making laws to continue siphoning and converting our national assets to his personal estate. Sanwo Olu is no doubt a toy in the hands of his master Tinubu. Above all, Prof Itsey Sagay is a disgrace to the legal profession for his view on this matter. I wonder what price or promise has been offered him to throw his honour and conscience to the winds. |

Sanwo Olu playing the script of his master Tinubu to escape with his bullion vans. Anyway, any law signed by state house of assembly is inferior to same law promulgated at the national assembly. |

This is what I love about Lagos state, their sense of independence, setting the pace, and leading the nation across the board. Lagos State doesn't make legal moves without sound legal and constitutional standing, this is why they always win their cases. They've obviously looked at the law and made the right decision even as sagay explained there's no injury as long as there's collaboration and understanding between efcc and the states. The lawyers crying are all olodo lawyers, I was expecting serious legal push backs with facts even Section 13(5) they are talking about did not say anything about the topic or that states can not take over federal cases in states. |

sweetshisha:Your reasoning pattern is ethnic, shallow and poorly skewed. Handing corruption cases to states means governors will get away with their criminal acts. For example, do you truly think Sanwo Olu or the entire Lagos state house of assembly will probe Tinubu and pronounce him guilty? Please stop being sentimental and stop protecting corrupt elements because your children and next generations will pay dearly for it |

Jashub:See them. So tribalistic and hateful they don't even know they are cutting off their nose to spite their face. Abeg the restructuring and devolution of more power in favour of States and regions, that we are all demanding, means what exactly to you? These are the sort of things we should applaud. Any State that abuses the privilege can remain in the dark ages and draw itself back but any sort of freedom from FG centrist control, be it be over the policing structure or lawmaking, is welcomed and a step in the right direction for Nigeria. You guys are too myopic, hateful and simple-minded to see that this is a step in the right direction. |

plaindealer:States can do their independent investigation but the EFCC as anational body has the final say in every corruption case. APC govt and its officials are just a bunch of evil minds. Bending and twisting laws to suit their lust and interest. Shameful. |

The average Yoruba man believes in Tinubu so much as the last hope for the Yoruba nation after the failed attempt of Awolowo and Abiola. So they don't see anything wrong in whatever Tinubu does or say. So the Yoruba man will speak against godfatherism but when it concerns Tinubu they will change the tone. They will speak against corruption but when it concerns Tinubu they will change the narrative. I am surprised many Yoruba's hate Obasanjo but love Tinubu even if they both do or say the same thing. So you will see a Yoruba man hailing Osibanjo for his "outstanding performance" but curse Buhari as a total failure both of whom are serving in the same govt. I have never seen a group of people with this kind of hypocritical tendencies like some Yorubas. Know them, No pain |

aviara:Go and check out the USA where States have their own independent laws, jurisdiction and polices forces like NYPD, LAPD etc. This is the way to go. What we have currently is a joke the over-powerful centre always abuse partisanly. Let States have more power and control over their laws, policing and socio-economic direction etal. Any State that abuse those privileges will only be setting itself back while serious States forge ahead strongly. What is very obvious is that the current situation, where we are all held hostage to an overpowerful and usually irresponsible and wilfully negligent centre, has to be brought down like the tower of Babel. Time we stop seeing things in terms of individuals (Tinubu, Buhari etal who will pass on eventually) and political Parties (APC, PDP etal who will always be inclined to control the centre partisanly) to opt for giving States more independence to either sink, as would happen with useless States hosting useless leaders, or swim, as we will see with serious States having driven and progressive leaders. Change is the only thing constant in life and Nigeria badly needs change. |

aviara:Why should Lagos do that when Nigeria remains one? Asking for power to be devolved away from the centre , towards States, does not mean any State should then cut itself off from the wealth of Nigeria. You are just being sentimental here. |
