SE won't go the way of Somalia

Somalia's issue was that it was a clan based society. When the struggle against Siad Barre began in the 1980's, the opposing clans managed to put aside their differences to get him out of office...but once out, the clans squabbled among themselves, and that was the end.

One thing about the Somali war...someone would form a rebel group, and recruit guys from his clan alone. The forces that threw out Barre in 1991 were composed of such independent thinking clan groups....recipie for disaster.

Secessionist movements in the SE are not organsied according to clans or to villages.
