Let a whole military Barack soldiers follow him about in IMO state yet safety is still not guaranteed, governing IMO state from Abuja can't also help him.
The earliest he supports Biafran cause the better for him because even PMB and Abuja forces can never save him.

We trust ESN for the security of life and properties in Biafra land.

It’s PDP and their terrorists wing, ipob that's behind the unrest in Imo state.
Abia state that’s the home of lamidi kanu is one of the worst govern state in the SE and also a PDP state did not witnessed same hostility as Imo state. Anyways na dem Dey kill they own people.

Strange but true : Do you know that after 30 years of creation, Abia state government house is still under construction? The present government house is a rented building. cool cool

The whole incident is sad and scary. Condolences to the bereaved. I hope it ends well and fair to all concerned.

But Hope Uzodinmna is not the face of democracy; if anything his coming to power is nothing but the opposite of democracy. Personally I think he should resign in the interest of the state. He should resign and leave the state to give some semblance of 'victory' to his so called enemy, and perhaps peace will return. I know politicians don't like resigning, but this is the most logical thing to do.

Isn't it better that one man (Hope Uzodinma) is sacrifice than for the whole state to be lost. Or is he going to rule with force; the military at his flanks, always, for next 3 years?
So because one of two disgruntled criminal politicians are unhappy with Uzodimma, they unleash violent thugs all over the state to go about shooting sporadically, killing security personnel and innocent people under the guise of ESN or Unknown Gunmen (UGM), and then your solution to the madness is for the governor to resign? Isnt that exactly what the sponsors of the mayhem in Imo want to happen? And if the governor resigns, hasn't that set a very unpleasant precedent for politicians to repeat same in other states?

I shake my head at the ignorance of the people applauding the nonsense going on in Imo, thinking it has anything to do with IPOb or Fulani herdsmen, whereas it's purely just anti-APC / anti-Uzodimma sentiments at play. Fulani herdsmen have attacked every other state of the south east, but there's not a single record of herdsmen attacks in Imo. How come the ESN or UGM that's meant to be fighting killer herdsmen has chosen a peaceful eventless Imo state as the epicentre of their activities?

Of course we wouldn't notice the flawed logic in these trends because sentimentally, we hate Uzodimma.

All the politicians are disgruntled, and many of them are criminal. All I'm saying is that rather than they burn down the state, Hope Uzodinma, who is currently unable to run the state should resign for peace to reign. This is especially the case since his position as governor cannot be explained by any meaningful logic. If he had problem with other politician in Imo State, he should settle it with them. For goodness sake, he's not the first politician that will have problem with other politician in Imo State, let alone in Nigeria. What is his security vote for? To buy Rolls Royce?

Don't forget also that he has blood on his hand. His invitation of the military against IPOB/ESN in the state is also part of the problem. Even if Imo State doesn't have herdsmen crisis, what is wrong in preparing? Wasn't the case that it is the unprepared state that are suffering? What exactly is Hope Uzodinma's contribution to Imo State security other than inviting military to terrorize the state? Uzodinma's action is the cause of insecurity in the state, directly or indirectly. Dude is just going about making enemies all over the places.

I repeat my call that Hope Uzodinma, the Ogboso 1 of Imo State should resign for peace to reign.

If he resigns, that would set a very dangerous precedence, not just in the south-east, but across Nigeria. What happens next will simply be, once politicians in a state dont like the governor, they pay masked thugs to go about unleashing anarchy across the state until the governor resigns. So I'm sorry, Uzodimma resigning isn't a solution to the current problem.

You said he invited military against ESN, but No, what he did was more like inviting the military against paid armed thugs who were already constituting a nuisance on behalf of disgruntled politicians in the state, and of course disguising under the mask of ESN to draw the sympathy of the people (that's all a scam, you're free to swallow it if you want). THe real ESN has been preparing and doing their thing in the shadows in other states, how come it's in Imo they suddenly started showing face publicly if they aren't doubling as political tools?

So he should resign and set a precedent that when bad forces come after you, you run instead of tackling it.
Uzodinmas victory is the same with that of Bayelsa both declared by supreme Court, hold PDP and their cohorts responsible for uzodinma coming out as a Governor, they miscalculated by a long margin.
As for the current situation in Imobwhen those fueling it are through, they too won't be able to return to Imo state.

Are you from Imo State? Uzodinma has been rejected by everybody including his relatives. It is not because of political enemies but killing of people in Orlu his homeland which he admitted on TV. Go to Orlu and hear how people are oraying everyday for his death. He furthermore went to the oil producing areas with intimidation instead of being diplomatic closing down Isopadec, sacking and arresting youths of oil producing communities. All these wrong moves are his problem and with deaths involved it may be very difficult to resolve.

Has the Governor for example apologized to this traditional ruler?

Uzodinma victory cannot be compared to the Bayelsa's one. The guy in Bayelsa didn't come fourth in the election. Uzodinma enthronement by the Supreme court defies logic. And it's a glaring illegitimacy. So if you're talking about precedence, it's best you situated it properly. Uzodinma didn't win subtiantial votes to be declared Governor, that illegitimacy is part of the problem.

The rest of the issues arose from how he managed the initial problem. Or you're one of those who have reduced the military to policing thugs, using high handed approach? And you don't realize how problematic that would be, until now?

Fact of the matter is that Hope is hopelessly incapable of governing the state, because he's tactless, lacks diplomacy and legitimacy. As bad as Rocha's was in Imo State, he was able to keep the peace. Why can't Uzodinma?.

Uzodinma resignation will set a good precedence - don't foist leaders on the people.

Finally, I'm happy we've all agreed here that the sporadic shootings and mayhem in Imo state in the past few weeks is all just political. It has nothing to do with IPOB or Biafra or Fulanis or Igbos or Nigeria; it's all just an expression of anger against Uzodimma. That's the simple point I wanted to make.
