Terrible profession with less reward, you think it's over when you get ICAN...no way, Technology has rendered this profession redundant
technology has not rendered it redundant but it has consolidated it.

Are you chartered? Bros, I have learnt not to depend on my Employers for promotion or increase in Salary. If they are not honoring their agreement and before you begin to do some dishonorable shit, promote yourself. Go and look for better employer and negotiate for better emoluments. All these delayed agreements are scams.

Technology will not Audit your accounts nor file your returns.
What technology will do is to capture your data and manage your accounts, to enable you make informed decision from what the numbers are saying.

Its a common experience for Accountant in Business (employed Accountant not working as Consultant). Are you qualified? If not, they must have capitalised on your zeal for the work. If you are already qualified, then the company will lose out at the end.

Already you have good experience that any company will need. Please, if you are not yet qualified, try as much as possible to get your ACA before you make a move, otherwise you will be turning your so cheap the employers hunting to cheap and quack accountant.

Most of the employers for Accountant in Business want to use your experience, but without commensurate remuneration. With your level of experience, you are hot cake. Just try add your ACA.

Obalize, kindly learn how to stay silent if you have nothing reasonable to contribute on a topic please.
98% of your comments here is nothing to write home about.
What do village people have to do with this?
When he is not from the same village you are from!
Just because you and your ilks have a phone doesn't mean you should be thus slow please.
An advice from the elders.
I don't think it's right to be so condescending. This seemingly awkward comment may actually be the real deal. I have known madmen, village drunks prophesy or speak the truth to those who have ears to hear. The other day, there was a trending video of a madman carrying out classic street evangelism and copiously referencing the holy scriptures to a very attentive crowd.

What I am trying to say is that this advice by Obalize may not be so far-fetched as it appears to be. Most Pentecostal Christians understand the concept of Promise and Fail, working like an elephant and eating like an ant, etc. They are also familiar with village people and Deliverance!

From the Ops analysis, even without a previous agreement, what he has accomplished is enough to earn him early confirmation with pay-rise in many organisations! So why is he having issues with being recognised and compensated by his boss. the tax saving alone could pay for the new salary. Something may or not be wrong with him spiritually. Deliverance doesn't hurt anyone!

With the proliferation of accounting softwares here and there, technology has obviously rendered financial and management accounting redundant. Financial management is not left out too.

But I think sub-fields like auditing, forensic accounting and tax management are still forces to reckon with.

To the mod that unjustly banned me for days, may the Lord bless you ... 'cos if I talk ehn.
