Because of uncompleted structure called Airport ?

When we already have the best international Airport in West Africa countries

That's how you people were cerebrating the first Overhead bridge in Anambra as an achievement when ordinary Abeokuta can boost of over 15 head bridge

Mediocrity

Correct

You need help with this ur reasoning!

What a way to reason!

Since 1960, Nigeria and most Nigerians (in Nigeria) have been falling into poverty by the day. Largely because of the actions and in-actions of most of our leaders.

Yet same clueless leaders r more interested in building airports than tackling poverty as though air transport is way cheaper than road and rail transportation.

Definition of clueless is leaders that expect security and air transport traffic, meanwhile thier policies ar sending thier people into poverty every minute.

Have you travelled by air lately

If you have, you will discover that the air fare have increasing drastically while the income of Nigerians are dwindling as a result of inflation and unemployment.

I'm from Anambra and also into manufacturing, I can tell you most importers don't need to travel like b4, since after covid.

If Obiano, south eastern and southern Govs could have found a way to use rail and interconnect most major cities in SS and SE. You will be shocked the rate at which poverty index will drop in the region and many will become richer, but no it's to build airport. Didn't you know Onitsha and Aba b4 now were basically powering the whole of SE and SS

Obiano is chasing clout, I give it to him. But Anambra needed more and deserves better. Anambra has one of the lowest poverty index in d country as a result of cheer individual hard work, dedication, sacrifice of her people and not by any govt help. So is Aba.

So you can imagine how we can become, if we get a govt that can pursue policies that will enable business n enterprise. Do you know how many Northerners became multy millionaires as a result of the FG policy on rice, anchor borrowers program and closing of the borders??

You can't be building airports as a govt, while the roads, hospitals and schools dilapidate. Most rural and urban roads Obiano used to win second tenure are still abandoned
Some of them are almost like erosion sites now

Onitsha has one of the worst ease of doing business figures in Nigeria, as a result of govt enabled agberos and touts, basically doing multiple taxation on small businesses.

Most customers have ran to Lagos as against Onitsha, yet you are building airport. ( I do business in Onitsha, Enugu, Ph and Aba, so I should know).

Look Obiano and all successive Govts in Anambra must exert much effort on people enterprise policies to generate the necessary air traffic to make this airport profitable period. Forget all this noise first.

This is my opinionoo, you are free to disagree or even insult me.

But save this post . 8yrs down the line we gonna know whether this is a success or not. Just like its obvious that Delta have been losing grossly managing asaba airport, so they had to concession.

Many argue that airport is a catalyst for economic development, true i agree, but a govt must do much more to archive that. A state that have not archived common SDG goals is raising so much Durst about having longest runaway.

How much has Gombe, Asaba, Owerri etc, developed as a result of their airports.

A great father will not be building edifice with his children school fees.
He will rather train and so empower his children, that down the line the children may even build estate and cities.

Really lovely. Impressed. This is what is possible and even more when the federating units are independent of the centre and allowed to venture with little hindrance. They get creative, they get serious, they think commerce and industry. They do stuff for themselves. Well done Anambra and hopefully many more years of good leadership to come.

Nice, but is that what Anambarians need? Delta already has an airport, Enugu already has an airport. In my opinion it is a waste. Unless there is a reason i don't know about.

Anambra has the largest market in West Africa in Onitsha, why did Enugu and Asaba went ahead to build markets in their states? In your logic those markets in Enugu and Asaba are useless and waste of money
