Good morning house.
Please what’s the reason for some of us who didn’t get NSE requests even when we didn’t fulfill the requirement at the initial stage of applying. Any idea why?

Since the inception of that NSE has anyone gotten their visa approved even without submitting the requirement at the initial stage or getting the request? Please I need answers. Thank you cry

Hello Theboysquare1,

Yes, there have been. From my observation, not everyone that applied in middle-late December, late January, and early February got the NSE request.

My assumption is, maybe IRCC is rounding up the promotional ad on NSE or an oversight which I doubt, as it is becoming similar to what they did with SDS.

The gospel truth is that the NSE stream hasn't been as effective as preached. If you didn't get the request, it is optional to either send the requirements proactively or chill it out.

IELTS shouldn't have been part of the NSE requirements (for Nigerians). It should have been like SDS, in which that, presenting a GIC, increases the chances of visa approval not only fast PT. This should have been the suppose of MBS. But then again, their country their rules.

Cheers and Best of Luck

Over 80% of Canada study permit applications from Nigeria are refused. That is more than 8 out of every 10 applications. So, pls when applying, put your best foot forward, and keep your expectation mild. Best Wishes.

I applied 29th of March and biometrics 1st of April. I didn't receive NSE message, my eligibility never start only the background check that started immediately. Hope I'm safe? I can't sleep well.

Hello Austin163,

You don't need to worry. By the time eligibility starts and the NSE request didn't drop, then you will be amongst the few that were exempted. Please, for knowledge sake, keep the house updated as your application progresses. Sleep well o!

I'm currently drafting my LOE. However for the school I'm attending, they require me to complete prerequisite courses before I apply to the nursing school so my first year will be spent completing those courses. They gave me general admission so that I would have the freedom to do the required courses without declaring a major. On the letter of admission it states that the course of study is not specified. Do I explain it like this in my LOE? Also, the length of the program is 4 years but I will need a visa for 5 years because of my first year for prerequisite courses and then the 4 years of nursing school. How should I frame this? I don't want to draw any red flags to my application. Thank you all for all the advice so far!

Hello Childgodly,

Focus on your career interest which is nursing. Only point the attention of the officer to the prerequisite course to be taken before beginning the main study.

Kindly note that if you are not submitting any time soon, I will love to take a look at your letter. You can reach out if you want.

This study path look tedious for those in 30s or 40s

How possible to get study permit with above age. I want to go for post graduate program (college). I work, have company, have 10million, sponsor, have lands etc

My problem is just my age, has anyone gotten study permit with above age, I'm in late 30s?

Hello Codeworks,

If you meet the study eligibility requirements and have the financial resources, age is not a barrier. On this platform, a 50yr got approved for a Diploma program, and many others that aged has also caught up with. What is your excuse again?!

Hello Everyone, thank you all for the help in responding to people's questions.

Please I want to ask, I have been admitted to PhD in University of Alberta for fall. I do not have the required 30kCAD for the NSE route but I have my IELTS score of overall 7.5. I have written the department for a funding letter and they said it will be available from May. Please if I get the funding Letter of about 30kCAD plus my bank statement of account of about 7kCAD will it suffice for the NSE route since I don't have time again as I would be resuming by September?

Hello SweetJJ,

Relax your mind and apply for your permit once the department approve the funding coupled with the $CAN 7k. All you need to do is work on your home ties – socioeconomically.

Best of Luck

Thank you for sharing your timeline and congrats again! The fact that your eligibility never changed till you got your PPR confirms my question yesterday in regards to the fact that IRCC sometimes do not update these things! Please what program are you going for?

Thank you so much.
Honestly I do not understand how ircc works anymore but I agree with you, I didn’t get ghost update as well.
I sent in emails just a few times telling them my eligibility review hasn’t started but I didnt get response until like two weeks ago from Nairobi saying due to covid blah blah and that I should be rest assured that They would make every effort to finalize my application as soon as possible.

Please be careful.
Admin @Oliadeo7 just tried to scam me of 1.5m.
I know there are people trying to get help here. But take everything slowly. Don't be eager and get duped. He gave me rate of 340 to 1 cad and I fell for it. Not knowing that this guys is a scam. He paid the fees. Waiting for me to send the money to a Nigerian account that is not in his name and passport id doesn't have the same name nor does he has the same name on number. I told someone in Canada to call the number he gave me and he didn't pick and later called him to a private number. +12363614295. Thats his number. He said he graduated from ubc. He has pr. All na lie. Please be careful. This are the pictures given to me. Please be careful out there.

Can you provide clear details of what really happened. You said "He paid the fees", but wants you to pay the Naira into the Nigerian account that is not in his name. Has the fees he paid on your behalf in Canada been reversed, or do you have problem with paying money into an account in Nigerian that is not in his name?

Good day everyone. Is it true they have banned flight in and out of Canada ?

Hello bro,

This is for Indians and Pakistanis, but they can still board from a neighbouring country whose flights to Canada are not barred.

The air hostess will be in soup with you on board.

Hello everyone,
I have been a silent reader.
I just got my ppr today.
My application was a very funny one, I submitted in January this year and I had no request letter neither did my eligibility review change until I got my passport request today. I was worried and had so much anxiety everytime that I had to stop coming on here because it felt overwhelming for me.
My timeline goes like this:
Submitted - January 27th
Confirmation- January 28th
Biometrics- January 28th
Upfront medicals- March 9th
Medicals updated to pass- March 15th
Bvl and passport request - April 27th
Ps : Today makes it exactly 3 months I submitted my application.
To everyone still hoping for a good news and waiting for ppr I pray you receive your miracle.
Shout out to Ircc cause they have thought me patience on this experience.
