I was thrilled by Sub-zero's character and also Kung Lao's fatality. Another high point for me was the scene where Cole threw a knife to Sanya as she spinned to catch it and stab reptile.

Mortal Kombat is all about violence. Violence in the most gruesome of forms. As much as Kano was funny; fights, fatalities and brutalities are the high points of the game from which the movie was adapted

Believe me the fight scenes in The Raid Redemption and The Raid 2 is way better than Mortal Kombat.

Lakeith was the lead. Oscars and grammies are two whitewashed and politicised awards.

Both were nominated for supporting actor. I believe the studio pitched it that way to avoid competing with Chadwick Boseman in the lead category. They both stand a chance as supporting actor, which turns out to be true.

Seriously? Personally for me,

It's not as great as Thor's entrance at the battle in Wakanda in Infinity War.

Captain America wielding Mjölnir and saying "Avengers assemble" in Endgame.

These are epics scenes others can think of now that's better than the "get over here" scene.

I've only watched the Raid 2, but then I remember watching this movie more than 10 times cause of the action. It's maddddd.

The Raid is the most brutal and grounded martial arts movie I've ever watched. Yet to watch part 2 tho.

Those action scenes and fatalities na God-tier. I was hollering and wowing the first day I watched The Raid, to the annoyance of my neighbors. grin

the raid: redemption leaves you begging for more... the raid 2 was more of dialogue and trying to tell a story which might make the beginning a bit boring but as the action kicked in towards the end, na no holds barred martial excellence till the the credit scene.
If you watch and enjoyed the raid redemption you might enjoy merantau too.

mortal Kombat has alot of characters with a lot of untold stories, the only way to properly tell the whole mk story na via series... maybe a 5 season show or something.
