He said any team that beats Barca wins the UCL except Madrid are in the finals then Madrid wins. This is true.

Based on recent ucl history, City reaching the finals favors either Madrid or Chelsea. In recent memory, first time ucl finalists hardly ever win it. They have to make it a second time to win the title. Just a thought tho
