Meanwhile, nothing is going to happen to the man, nothing that your local yahoo boys can do from Nigeria. You all should stop glorifying your homebased Lexus and Benz driving yahoo boys. There is nothing special the majority of them do, apart from preying on the gullibility and desperation of unsuspecting aged women in the abroad.

The guy received the money over a month ago, if they are so good at contact tracing, they should have used it to recover their money since- rather than wait to kill him now. You think America gang war is Aiye and Buccaneers? Abi you think American police is your ogogoro drinking NPF?

Local champions feeling funky.
grin

There's a lot to this story that's still fuzzy.

The gentleman certainly did the right thing, based on the story he's told, but there's such a thing as a wrong way to do the right thing.

Discretion is not cowardice, and exuberance is not valor, though one is often mistaken for the other.

All the street gangs killing each other over silly rap beefs and colours and frivolities in Jacksonville, the BDs, etc, what makes you think 32 large wouldn't be enough motivation to do someone harm.

The man is in the US, great. Where's his mother? Where are his siblings? The rest of his family and his loved ones?

It's easy to dismiss these people as "local champions" but they can do a lot of harm, I've seen it happen.

He has been with their 32k for over a month.

If you want to do good, and you know it will end up hurting a particular wicked party, do it in a smart way without endangering the life of yourself and your family.

$32k is too huge for those G-Boiz to come for him or his family no matter how far he might think he is, trust me on that.

Aside the fact that he wanted to publicize the good deed, he would have simply reached the victim first, return the money, tell her to asked suspicious unanswerable questions to those boiz, also tell her to tell those boiz that she’s contacting the bank and USA security, this will enable the mam perfectly act and tell those boiz that his account has been placed under investigations for receiving such cash and might get him jailed. Simple!!! Those boiz go even dey pity am small base on say them don put am for trouble.

Make we dey tread carefully! Na street we dey and nobody is too far to be hunt down by these street boiz! Boiz wey don reach level of scamming $32k no be amateur for the street and as e dey be like this, this guy fit collect shot.
. All what you put here is rubbish, so you think if the man is coming to Nigeria they can have access to him? Even if he doesn't return the money the security agent would trace the money and will eventually put him in trouble for a crime he knows nothing about

They will tell the executioner, who would most likely not be a Nigerian, that they want him out because he returned money to a fellow American? Maybe they’ll have to lie and I wonder how easy that would be, now that it is out there.

If he were in Nigeria, then they would have seen hungry Aiye boys that will kill for urgent 2k. But to find an executioner in faraway America, them be Mexican drug lord? cheesy cheesy

Na today foreign picker start to disappear with money? Boys wey done count their losses, na im them dey hype for Nairaland.

I don't trust this man.

How did the money get to his account?

The explanation he gave is not enough. So his business partner a fraudster or friends with fraudsters, why will he give out his accounts without his consent

My mind tells me he was part of the deal but felt guilty and had to return it.

His story does not add up...but anyway, good that he returned the money or else, they would have traced it and arrested him especially since he has a public Instagram page.

A lot of them must be huge fans of Africa Magic Epic grin

The crucial fact to note is that the guy is no longer with the money. So if you pay someone 100k, 200k, or even 1 million to kill him, how do you get your money back? grin

People who take such route are those that either want to get their money back, or make sure you don't enjoy what you stole from them.

But in this case, the guy no dey with the money again. grin

Like you said, the boys have probably counted their losses. Na these ones here they imagine Nollywood lines cheesy

There was a reason I said “For those G-boiz”.

$32k should be more than 13 million naira I think.

Trust me, if you’ve watched disturbing videos of what these boiz do to people who rip the least 100k or 200k from them, you’ll know what they are capable of doing to someone who intentionally blocked their 13m slip.

They don’t need to travel, a simple contact can get their work done. Make we dey careful.

He might be saying the truth.
Fraudsters usually use unsuspecting businesses overseas as pickers and later ask for a refund to another account( to make paper trail more ambigiuos) claiming they no longer want to buy your product or service again.
To me the boys were not smart.
If I was a fraudster,I will look for a TRADING company in the US to wire the money to and collect goods and lose a trace in the paper trail.
