Arinze001:thanks very much bro! A friend also had 3.48cgpa/5.0 with a 3 years professional certificate related to his first degree and the intending master degree Please does he have any chance? Thanks! |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Arinze001(m): 1:57pm On Apr 18, 2021 |
VTJN: There's hope. Professional certs are not really asked. It depends on what the said school requested. As you said, the proposed MSC programme is akin to what he did as an undergrad. He should scale through. Someone that had a 2.95 cgpa got accepted last month. Baba dey JP now lol Tell him to apply to numerous schools. Skól! |

Ge0grapher:thanks for your input But is there a reason why we should opted for human Geography instead of the initial course we intend to put in for Do you also consider the course prospects in relation to job opportunities? Thanks! |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Ge0grapher(m): 3:19pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
VTJN: When it comes to Geography brother.. the most reliable and dependent job prospects lies on GIS.(I know you already have an idea what that means). Another path is to find your way through academia.. (lecturing and all). |

Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Ge0grapher(m): 9:48am On Apr 20, 2021 |
VTJN: Oga start preparing for an English test... Most applications are rejected based on inability to provide English test score .. Even if they don't reject it, your admission might be conditional pending when you make your test score available.. that's for Norway. Write Toefle or IELTS.. even if u get 6.5 it's better. |

Ge0grapher:Thanks for your concern, i do appreciate! Please which among the two English test would you recommend? that can be used elsewhere entirely outside Norway institution? |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Ge0grapher(m): 6:33pm On Apr 20, 2021 |
VTJN: Sorry about my typos earlier, I prefer TOEFL cos it is cheaper and most universities worldwide accept it. |
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by aurorae1: 9:25am On Apr 21, 2021 |
Ge0grapher: I'm confused where are you getting your information from? Most universities in Norway exempt Nigerian students(except one isn't here) from writing the standardized tests... I do know that University of Oslo requires it of us, but a majority don't... Please let's be careful about the information spread here. I'll also advice everyone perform due diligence by doing further research. 3 Likes |

No oo! You need to check each school's requirements before drawing such conclusion. There are far more schools that exempt Nigeria from English test aside UIT and UIS you mentioned. NTNU and UIB are also in the list and I'm sure there are more. VTJN: 1 Like |

VTJN: Yes. In my experience, University of Agder, Kristiansand and Nord University, Bodo don't need Nigerians to determine their English proficiency. They have a list of their requirements that can be downloaded from their website showing all the countries and what is required of them... 1 Like |
