The relative peace being enjoyed in the oil-rich Niger Delta may be under threat as some oil producing communities in the region are not happy with the delay in the payment of the alleged N98billion oil pollution compensation fund being promised by the federal government. https://thenationonlineng.net/alleged-n98bn-oil-pollution-fund-stirs-controversy-in-communities/

This present administration makes promises they can never implement. That N98billion can be said to be "the more you look, the less you see it". 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Not Surprised .... The present political sects will rather approve and pay up their humongous toiletries allowances or pay bandits & kidnappers rather than compensate the needful citizens! @Seniorwriter 2 Likes |

Oil has been a curse to this people. A serious curse. What they own, they hardly enjoy it. At least the common man there doesnt benefit 1 cent from it. The irony is, on facebook, you still catch some of them fighting their Igbo neighbours... Their own relatives by blood. Meanwhile the vultures they left unattended are chewing down on them, crushing and sucking all from their lands completely dry. The sadness of this case makes one understand that mankind is evil. 7 Likes |
