With the above disclaimer stated, can we delve into the matter...

So I just watched the over 7mins censored video posted by Punch capturing Baba Ijesha’s infamy and I beg to state my reservations.

1) I do not think that girl I saw in that video is 14. Pardon me, it’s just my thinking which might be wrong. But that girl looks somewhere around 16.

2) In Nigeria, the age of consent for women is 16 and not 18. It is adulthood that is 18 for women but 16 is their age of consent legally. That’s the reason you will always read those fighting a rape case claiming their victim is either 11, 13, 14 or 15. Yea. Think back, have you read of any rape case where claimants said the victim is 16? Lawyers in the house can help clarify us further.

NB: By rape here, I mean the abuse of a minor and not the general context of rape. Because in the general context of rape a 90 year old granny can be a victim of rape. I know.

3) Watching the video, I saw Baba Ijesha repeatedly express this surprise in his face like, “why are you behaving like this today”? A critical examination of that expression will tell you that those two have been having a thing which was why Baba Ijesha was surprised that his usual partner was now playing hard to get today.

4) Was there really a use of force? Yea, I understand the mean made some seductive touches but does that constitute force?

5) It was all planned out. Why was there a camera focused on that sofa of two? Why did everybody leave the house?

What did Baba Ijesha do to Iyabo Ojo and co?

Conclusion
From the foregoing, I beg to conclude that Baba Ijesha and the said girl are regular sexual partners. Maybe somehow, the girl’s guardian got wind of it and pressed the girl until she confirmed having an affair with Baba Ijesha. Now, instead of the said guardian to call Baba Ijesha and question him privately or caution him, they asked the girl to act nothing happened and play along with them to capture the event on camera and release to the world.

I do not support crime, rape or molestation of a minor but should we suspend reason and join the herd to destroy a man whose colleagues seem to have more against than just child molestation?

After some people argued that the age of consent in Nigeria is 18 and not 16 as I earlier stated, I had to make further research and found out that the Child Protection Law of 2003 which stipulates 18 years as age of consent is a problematic law that is hardly quoted as authority in law due to some religious and cultural implications.

So, I was amazed to find out that what is generally accepted as Nigeria’s age of consent is 11 years and not even 16 years as I earlier stated.

Or don't you know that you can frame someone as a criminal if you want to once he is inside your and you have two or three witnesses with you who would agree to deal

that they have been having relationship is not the case here but the relationship between a grown man and a minor and that is called rape...indecent touch without consent is consider rape in a sane world... and if you think otherwise, i hope someone will indecently touch your kids when they are 13yrs, sucking her fingers, fondilng her boobs and buttock and see if you would give such a person trophy for the job welldone

i agree with this, princess should also be prosecuted for intentionally subjecting a child to this traumatic experience..i cant begin to imagine how they must have tortured that girl to accept to this fiasco..i wish am a lawyer, i would take this case up and sue princess for prosecution

Mr, 16 years old is still considered a MINOR and the girl is said to be 14. I did not watch the video because the mere thought of the act is repulsive enough. However, you drumming up this much support for a pedophile even in the face of evidence, says so much about what you are capable of yourself.

She didn't commit any crime here, what she did is legal.

You need evidence to tender in court and she got the evidence.

There was a program on tv called Catch a Predator , and people are baited to sleep with a minor, some of the videos were used as evidence in court.

Once a girl tells you she is underage and you still go after her, you have committed a crime.

Please we should be careful not to justify rape and abuse, as there is no how a minor can give consent to sex. Even if she does, the man should have sense and control himself

Rape or statutory rape didn't happen in the video but sexual abuse, assault and harrassment on a minor happened.

That is the case he going to face in court, the video was an evidence against him.

He will be found guilty because there is a video evidence.

If he has committed rape or statutory rape, it is life imprisonment.
