Good to see someone talk with sense and not insults. I have some responses to your observations:

First point: I believe that's wrong. He should apologize for it.

Second point: As long as it isn't constitutionally wrong. Moreover, there many states in SW that have no Muslim around their leadership tables despite the large Muslim population. Examples are Ekiti and Ondo. If no one is crying for this then no one should cry for that.

Third point: Killings aren't restricted to Southern Kaduna. Also, they aren't on a daily basis. Lastly, these killings have happened in governments before him so its a general issue of poor leadership not religious bigotry.

Fourth point: I know nothing about it and will not comment.

Fifth point: If government negotiates with bandits, people grumble. Now this man said he is never going to negotiate with criminals yet some others are grumbling. So, he should just do what he sees to ne the best in public interest.
Moreover, we all praise USA when they say they will never negotiate with criminals. So why should we castigate El-Rufai for this.
