Where do I start from, new here I am seeing that all forms of visas are discussed here. Students, tourists, reunion, work, etc.

I am more interested in the student visa.

You should start by asking why study in SA, and what can it offer you & what can you offer them too? And importantly, think about affordability.

For Undergraduate
I am not really conversant with the process. Visiting the different universities' websites can help.

For Postgraduate Program (PGD, Master, PhD)
You start with looking up schools, your desired course, and then getting admission, and sometimes depending on the school, you may be asked to get your SAQA evaluation done first before applying for admission. Each school has its own eligibility and study requirements, which you consider while making your decision.

Here are useful websites for Universities in South Africa and SAQA evaluation process;

http://africauniversities.org/south-africa/
https://www.saqa.org.za/foreign-qualifications-evaluation-and-advisory-services-dfqeas?language_content_entity=en

Just begin, once you do, you will get to learn and know the intricacies. Feel free to DM me should you have personal questions.

I am looking at doing an MSc. gotten a Uni and I have paid the application fee. I need to learn more about the SAQA.

I am already enrolled in Germany (2nd semester) but the visa issue is making me consider other places.

It seems true based on this visa application center platform; https://www.vfsglobal.com/southafrica/ghana/pdf/Countries-exempt-from-South-African-Visas-New-En.pdf

But this information is as of 2019. You may need to enquire directly from the South African High Commission in Ghana to be sure of what is obtainable presently, and based on the intended purpose/duration of your travel to SA.

You have gone far already, well-done. Everything you need to know about SAQA is on the website I shared earlier; https://www.saqa.org.za/evaluation-foreign-qualifications

Ghanaians don't require visa to come to SA. You get an E-visa on arrival and they can give you up to 90 days. Dont waste your time and money going to apply at a Nigerian VFS.

My advice, travel to South Africa from Ghana. Because Nigerian immigration may not know about this and stress you unnecessarily.

Hello! That's actually not true about Ghanaians not needing visa. That is only currently for Ministers and people in top position in government. Ghanaians need Visa to enter SA as at today.

But it's easy for them and they're given 90days for a start.

My Access Bank Naira VISA Card gives me similar issues.
But try to confirm your details on the online payment portal tallies with your physical card. If it doesn't still work, try another Card- Naira MasterCard.

Your last option could be to use a Dollar MasterCard if physical bank deposits are not allowed.

Your immigration status in Nigeria will decide that. If you are a permanent resident in Nigeria, then u can apply for study visa to SA from Nigeria. So, I know!

Academically, Wits is better ranked than Stellies. However, they both have their strength in terms of faculty and departmental reputation.
