From what I've read from both sides it seems both Garba Shehu and Fr Mbaka are telling the same story from their own perspective.

Garba Shehu: Fr Mbaka came to asorock to beg for contracts and Mr President rebuffed him that contracts should follow the laid down laws on procurement. That this is why Mbaka is attacking Buhari

Fr Mbaka: I did not beg contract from anybody. I went to asorock with CONTRACTORS to demand that Buhari complete the hospital he promised during campaigns.

My verdict: Fr Mbaka went to asorock to demand Buhari award contract to his contractors. Buhari saw this as being strong armed by an ally and resisted his demands.

Bottom line: as the administration is coming to an end, Mbaka decided to grab his own piece of the pie before it's too late!

No matter how u spin the story, it is illegal for a private individual to give contractors to the government. That's clearly corruption. Even if u want buhari to build hospital, the contract would be advertised and qualified contractors will be selected following the Public Procurement Act. It shouldn't be mbaka's business who gets awarded the contract. So long as the hospital is built. Besides, was the said hospital captured in 2021 budget? From which purse will the hospital get built

this are just semantics.

How many contracts in this country are awarded through due process?

When it involves outsiders they begin to talk like they are sane.

Nothing wrong in Mbaka going to meet the president to complete the hospital he promised. Is it Mbaka's Hospital? He brought people he felt could do the job.

Mbaka may not know the process through which contracts are awarded,he came, the presidency told him to follow due process. How did Mbaka commit any crime?

Most of us do go to places like bank and demand some things from the bank, they refer us to the appropriate section where such demands can be met.how did we commit any crime?

But the way Garba Shehu reeled out the story made it look like Mbaka came to beg for contracts for himself, not knowing it is a different story

Sorry but there's everything wrong in carrying contractors to asorock. Thats corruption, plain and simple!

You can't tell me mbaka's contractors are the only ones that can do the job in a country of over 200million people! That's insane

The law remains the law whether u like it or not. If they decide to follow the law in your case u can't now be crying foul. What is foul is Mbaka attempting to extort the govt. It doesn't work that way.

stop spewing gabbage like Garbbage Shehu.

If Mbaka doesn't know the process through which contracts are awarded ,and he came to demand that you do something for his people through reward mechanism, how is that a crime?

Now that the presidency told him to follow due process, and he obliged, why using it to scuttle his message?

This government is a government that hates criticism. Once they get criticised they start bringing up issues that aren't relevant just to divert the message from such critics.

We know how Emirs,Alhajis go to them and get contracts without anyone hearing about it.

If what Mbaka demanded is something personal that is different,he demanded for something to benefit his people. Why are they twisting the narrative

mbaka should make outright and public demand for the completion of those hospitals not lobbying for his own personal contractors.
he can secretly ask for what interest him but publicly cry when he gets rebbufed.

Of course it is very personal. Greed and corruption are very very personal. Bringing contractors to get contracts from where u will cash out is very very personal. Mbaka was caught pants down. He's a disappointment!

that is the narrative they want us to believe.

Mbaka a man that is a philanthropist spending millions of dollars in charity yearly won't stoop low to get commission from a contract he is not involve in awarding it, if they give him commission, how much is their own gain.

okorocha is involve in awarding the contract,so he can determine how much he awards each, and how much his commission would be

That isn't same with Mbaka, he doesn't dete mine how much the contract will be awarded, neither is he involve in the awarding of the contract.

It is very obvious that you're very low on facts and massively ignorant about the matter. Or rather, you're taking almost all your facts from Garba Shehu's narrative and have not looked at that of Mbaka dispassionately. You made two assertions which I will correct quickly.

1. Mbaka wanted cash out with less than 2 years to the end of this fumbling regime according to you. Wrong!! If you had listened to Mbaka, he claimed the incident happened in 2016 while Garba was smart enough to not put a date on his own story so as to deceive gullibles like you. Now that was early in the life of this obtuse regime so your so-called bottomline is false!!

2. Mbaka floutedd the public procurement act by asking for a hospital. If you were knowledgeable about the matter as you should, you'll know mbaka didn't go to Aso rock to ask for a hospital contract. Again, your jaundiced mind is at play here. He said in his response that those men came for security. Now, we all know that security is exempted from public procurement act and the president has to personally sign off on all security contracts with advise from ONSA. Of course Garba Shehu did not mention what type of contract again so as not to show the ridiculous side of his argument. Note that since Mbaka claimed those men are security contractors, Shehu has not come out to debunk that since he has achieved what he wants, which is to soil Mbaka's reputation and give zombies like you something to attack him with just as you're doing without getting the facts right.
Shame!!

So you are convinced that in this time and age Mbaka does not know about contract award procedures, and he cannot ask? Senile defense!

Whether he is asking for personal or societal benefits it makes no much difference as long as he's asking for a good thing using the wrong approach. Legality can't stand on illegality or better still morality can't be hing on immorality!

Assuming the contract was given to Mbaka men in such manner and the story still leak out, you won't criticize the government? Sheer hypocrisy!

The version of Garba Shehu and Mbaka diverge from each other in the sense that Mbaka did not seek to profit from the contract

Garba Shehu made it seem like Mbaka was a disgruntled man who only criticised Buhari when he was denied a business opportunity. A Catholic Priest is not allowed to seek contract, or indulge in any business outside the Catholic Church.

If Mbaka went Aso Rock for something that would benefit the common man, there is nothing wrong with that.

If it's for the common man, then why insist on contractor that should be awarded the contract Wouldn't have been enough to simply insist on completing the project, regardless of which contractor Is Mbaka now a procurement specialist You already know the truth. Fr Mbaka was trying to cash out on buhari but e no work. Simple.
