So I've been seeing posts on this platform, some sharing pictures of South Africa but I find most of them to not be real pictures. Just pictures you can find on the internet. I've recently moved here and I can document my entire travel as well as real pictures of what the place really looks like.
I will also talk about the cost of living, the general outlook, the people, issues and basically everything that comes to mind that's worth sharing.
I do not know if people will be interested in knowing so I'll begin based on the feedback I get from this thread.

The trip from Lagos to Nairobi (to connect to Johannesburg) was pretty straight forward except for Nigerian airport security.
There will be a lot of checks it's best to come with money preferably change maybe 500 naira notes because you be settling here and settling there. Get your story straight before you travel and get your BTA on hand. Also make sure to have your hotel reservation it is very important.
I won't go over the visa application process because that's a little too personal and it changes from time to time.
Flight was for 12:30 p.m. Kenya airways Boeing 737 – 8 a very good aircraft very recent with flight data monitoring.
The flight was smooth and uneventful. Kenya airways serve very weird foods.
For personal reasons I will do my best not to include photos with people or myself but I will try to give you a vivid outlook on the entire journey.
Most of most of the uploads would be videos.
The flight landed 8 p.m Kenya time. We were made to scan a barcode and fill the online covid-19 form as well as present our negative covid-19 result.

There's free WiFi at the airport for you to connect to and fill the COVID form. You can use the WiFi for as long as you're there. Most of the food places at the airport do not close they just change shifts. Sleeping was very uncomfortable as expected because we had to sleep at the airport. You either sleep at the chairs they kept for transiting travelers or you buy food and probably sleep where you buy food. They sell stuff in USD most of it not very nice compared to our own food. We stayed there until very late the following day when the next flight was scheduled.

Okay, you're talking about the Kenyan airport?! Thought you were talking about SA food, that's why I couldn't understand why you found it bad.

The flight from Nairobi to Johannesburg was slated for 5:50pm Kenyan time. I had a particular interest in this flight because the plane was changed in the morning of the flight. As an aviation enthusiast I diligently went online to find that the equipment was changed initially from a Boeing 737–8 to an Embraer E190,less sophisticated and not fancy at all. I tired to find the reason for this change but I could not. The said plane had already been to Johannesburg very early,then to Douala then to Yaounde and back to Nairobi. I figured maybe because of the number of people travelling weren't much.
We boarded the plane and took off in an akward manner.
He feel like the aircraft was banking too right when we were trying to gain altitude. A bit of a scare there and the flight particularly wasn't smooth because I already had my reservations about the plane but we finally arrived Johannesburg 9:05pm SA time. The airport also had WiFi to connect to. They took our covid-19 forms that were shared in flight on arrival. We went straight to immigration and got our passport stamped in. I could also see that some people were being taken to be sent back. This people here are no joke. Also mind the amount of luggage you carry especially if you're on a visit visa, someone almost got sent back after he was already stamped in for his amount of luggage by airport security. After the security checks and all we went straight to the waiting area and wow Johannesburg airport is massive. When I say massive I mean very very big. By the time we got to domestic there were no more flights to cape town so we slept at Nandos until the following morning. Nandos is a fast food at the airport. They were already closed so we helped ourselves on their sofa

There are no photos from Johannesburg since we arrived very late and left very early 7am the following morning.

The following morning by 7 a.m, We were ready to leave to board a flight to Cape Town. I won't be doing any justice if I failed to mention a certain staff of flysafair .
We had carried access logic luggage. Flysafair has a strict luggage policy and all three of us had defaulted because we were carrying more luggage than they would allow. I was surprised to find this certain guy rather than charge us the fee for the extra going by the actual calculations of our excess luggage we had to pay an extra R2000. I had seen this on their website and found that on normal grounds that was what we had to pay so the guy wasn't inflating it in anyway. Rather than charge is for this extra I saw this guy brainstorming ways to help us reduce how much we were to pay. It's not like he had ideas but he was stressing his head thinking up ways. He asked us to add one bag to another bag like that which would have made the other bag weigh much more. We ended up making 4 luggages turn into 2. Rather than weigh it again and assign a new value he gave me the same slip as though I was paying for the first weight recording when as at then the weight had doubled. He then asked us to take our backpack and our other echolac boxes into the plane and they would qualify as hand luggage. Eventually what would have cost us R2000 cost us R750. We also didn't know our boarding gate, the guy then left his post because at the time it was early and people were few and he had a colleague observe his desk and he walked a very long distance to take us to our boarding gate and he didn't ask a dime from us. Not to rubbish Nigeria for another man's land but in Nigeria even places I wasn't defaulting everyone was out to collect money and extort money for just about anything. Even the people that stand by the toilet wn rag u money.

Small advice be mindful of your luggage,don't carry excess luggage it would stress you with airport security. They may even send you back even after being stamped in if they feel like your luggage is too much for your duration of stay. There's really no need to carry much luggage because you would likely discard most of your clothes when you get here. There are also policemen in the airport at Johannesburg so be careful with your movements and dealings around the airport.
We arrived Cape Town 9:15 am. Cape Town airport has to be one of the most difficult airports to land at because there are many mountains and then the pilot has to descend into a cloud layer with almost no visibility.

As per women, they like Nigerians the girls. You really don’t need money to get a girl here. Just have booze and enjoyment at home as well as bolt fare. They hardly say no to a meet up. Don’t bother with the white girls, you don’t even exist to them.
Accommodation is not cheap depending on where you say.

Don’t put words in my mouth. When people say things about us Nigerians and crime, it doesn’t even mean the majority of Nigerians are criminals. Same way it doesn’t mean all of them are like that but from my experience that is what I have seen. Ignoring blacks by a whites girl isn’t really a higher standard. I am only telling the story based on my own experience. If you have your own experience share yours and don’t come attack me over my opinion.
