Pls help! I'm using a redmi 9T phone but the problem I'm experiencing now is that most times when I dial a number, the phone goes blank even before taking it close to my ear. Please is there any remedy to this? |

peacy26:Check if your tempered glass isn't blocking the proximity sensor |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by peacy26: 7:11pm On May 03, 2021 |
genius43:No it isn't. Right now, while it is locked and i double tap to wake the screen up, it comes on and goes off immediately. Secondly, does the redmi 9t even have a proximity sensor as advertised? Because, whenever i make calls as well, the phone doesn't go blank when i take it towards the ear. I would rather put it on speaker phone or use an hands free device to make calls. What could possibly be the reasons for them all? |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by genius43(m): 7:21pm On May 03, 2021 |
peacy26:It has a proximity sensor. |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by peacy26: 7:34pm On May 03, 2021 |
genius43:Ok thanks. But wat else can I do since the tampared glass is not blocking the proximity sensor? Please |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by genius43(m): 7:43pm On May 03, 2021 |
peacy26:Do you know exactly where the proximity sensor is located? |
| Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by peacy26: 7:44pm On May 03, 2021 |
Rayliousity:Infact i have restarted my device on so many occasions. I have also removed the screen guard and the problem still lingers. |
