samunaka:What we need is someone who will reduce the massive youth unemployment and values education and entrepreneurship. And that man is Tony Elumelu. We also need someone that knows how to run a successful structured organization without using looted public funds to prop it up. |

Well, His younger brother Enudi Elumelu is a member of the house of representative, and he is a very proud Igbo man. Has not for one day denied his Igbo identity and has always worn the Igbo tag like a badge of honor it is. So Yes! The Elumelus if interested will certainly have the support of those of us from SE. They are good to go. |

RuudVanNisteroy:Tribe is important. Because every tribe have capable hands. You can't be trying to produce another president as a Yoruba person after OBJ 8yrs tenure on the altar of tribe does not matter. Nigeria is not a nation, it's a multi national country. Every nation (region) within the country MUST produce a president,if there is to be sense of justice. If not, nah Biafra go sure pass. ![]() If for example you were projecting an Ika man like Jim Ovia for presidency, you will not get Igbo support, because we would rightly argue that Ika is not Igbo and that the Minorities under GEJ already had their turn. |

Igboid:Other countries are sending people in the moon. And be there arguing about tribe when you don't have portable water,24 hour electricity, sanitation, good hospitals and security. And you wonder why the country is a failed state. |

RuudVanNisteroy:Exactly my point. Anything built on meritocracy in this country, Ndiigbo always got a Lion share in it. Enthrone meritocracy in Nigeria and watch the rest of the country cry of Igbo domination again. So, Mr you might as well shove your meritocracy talks where the sun doesn't shine. |

Igboid:If Tony Elumelu or any CEO of a large and successful organization that ran on meritocracy rules, that will change. |
| Re: 2023:Tony Elumelu The Most Influential Nigerian And Unifier Should Be President by Igboid: 10:35pm On May 04, 2021 |
RuudVanNisteroy:The typical Igbo man is only interested in profits and don't mix business with tribalism. You have to be adding value to be part of his business. Nigerians ( I mean real Nigerians, they know themselves) don't want a meritocratic ran country because doing that would most definitely lead to few sections of the country dominating everyone. This was why quota system was hurriedly set in place post civil war. If you make Elumelu the president of Nigeria, nothing would change unfortunately, because he still has to stick with quota system and cannot pick the available best hands irrespective of their region or ethnicity. I have always compared Nigeria to a car with a knocked engine. If you like go get peak Micheal Schumacher to drive it, it will not move let alone be in the race. You have to recognize that the problem is not necessary the driver, (though admittedly Nigeria has not had the best of drivers), the main problem is that the car is damaged beyond repair. Nigeria problem is foundational. Nigeria is not a nation. It is a colonial misfit made of people of divergent irreconcilable political, religious, social and cultural life views. It hasn't worked in 61yrs of it's miserable existence, it's never ever going to work. Stop looking for non existent Messiah to drive a car without an engine. This was how some people packaged Buhari as Messiah in 2015. |

Igboid:Nigeria has never had a peak Michael Schumacher to drive the car.The Buhari that was packaged by the former Chicago drug baron, was a massive failure in the 80’s.We have seen what visionary leaders that entrench a system of meritocracy were able to achieve in Singapore,Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates. They brought the best hands from around the world to develop the country. |
