Barcelona star Leo Messi has overtaken Romario in the goalscoring charts with 741 official goals, putting him in fourth place, behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Bican and Pele.

Messi has 670 goals for Barcelona and 71 for the Argentine national team.

Romario had 740 strikes and is fifth. The Argentine netted twice at Mestalla to move into fourth place.


He is only 21 away from Pele and Bican who have 762 each. Ronaldo is on 775 and still going, though. He is two years older than Messi, whose future at the Catalan club is currently unknown.

Ronaldo’s goals are spread between Sporting Lisbon (5), Man United (118), Real Madrid (450), Juventus (99) and Portugal (103).

Good but d guy needs to step up and leave Barcelona. Go to a club where there is a better capability than Barcelona and compete for the best. he should forget about money now and go for sporting advantage.

lolz...i understand where u coming from bt he doesn't needs to move to a new team to prove anything to anybody..
he is in d best team in d world and I dnt see any other club dt he would be happy in at such age except barca..
incase u dnt know, barca are planning a 10yr deal for him...leo is playing till he decides when to stop because him n barca are perfectly made for each Oda..

Barca style of football is struggling and they find it difficult to compete at d highest level now. Messi work rate in Barca is too demanding for him...he needs a better team play.
