Good day Nairalanders...

Congratulations to everyone who have gotten PPR this week.

Please I submitted my application on April 20,2021 and did biometrics on April 23, 2021. I observed on my profile that I have been given a biometrics identity number and also d date I did the biometrics was also captured. But on the part of the biometrics it is still showing I have message, instead of it to indicate biometrics updated. Has anybody encountered such pls? I have attached a screenshot

They have not updated it yet try to exercise more patience I know how hard it can be waiting for ircc due to high volumes of other applications.

So yours would be updated gracefully.

Hope this helps.

Greeting everyone.

I'm looking to do a master's in Canada but my agent told I can only get a Post Graduate Diploma because i have a 2:2.

The point now is that he was able to get me addmission for Post-baccalaureate Diploma . Is this the same as a Post Graduate Diploma in Canada and Is it advisable to spend 2 years to get a Post-baccalaureate Diploma in Canada. Thanks

Good day @johnfem321

Post baccalaureate diploma is not the same as a post graduate diploma

Postbaccalaureate programs are reserved for students who are working toward a second bachelor's degree or a second entry degree.

These programs are offered for those who already have a first undergraduate degree.

Post Baccalaureate programs are not considered traditional graduate education, but it is more advanced than a bachelor's degree.

On the topic of it's advisable to go for it or not it all boils down to your wants if you enlighten the house more we might be able to input more.

Hope this helps.

It has finally ended in praise for me. God bless Frankrobbn, Justmellow, and the many others that have been giving me hope and answering all my plenty of questions. Note that I used an agent or my application because i was too busy with work to continually study the tips on this thread and apply them. I am a second-time applicant.

Timeline:
January 20th: Medical done
January 27th: Application submitted with all NSE requirements- Sponsor's 1-year Mybankstatement of about 11million, IELTS result with 7.5 band, and Medical result.
February 20th
February 26th: Second ghost update
March 4th: Third ghost update
March 9th: Fourth ghost update
May 4th: PPR and correspondence letter

Reason for the first refusal: They said that my finance wasn't sufficient even after i submitted an account statement of 12million and paid my first-semester tuition.

How i tackled the refusal: I paid the full tuition for the first year, provided the sponsor's account statement of 11million and i also made a notarised affidavit of sponsorship signed by my sponsor. I did not use a notarised affidavit of sponsorship in my first application but i used an affidavit from the high court. A friend advised me to use a notary lawyer for my affidavit and so far, everyone that i know that used a notary lawyer was approved. Notarised documents are recognized worldwide.

Documents submitted:
All IMM forms
Tuition payment receipt CAD$21,000
notarised affidavit of sponsorship
notarised affidavit of good behavior
police report
IELTS result
medical slip
letter of explanation
passport photograph
data page of passport
sponsor's birth certificate (sponsor is my brother)
CAC document for my business
Employment letter
Recommendation letter

NOTE: I used an agent for my application. There are a few agents that knows what they are doing. My agent did not hold back my login details like other complained about.

I got admitted into about 7 schools in the USA also but I decided to go to Canada for reasons best known to me.

God wey do am for me go do am for una.

I am so excited. As i dey type sef, my fingers dey shake. Immediately i logged in and saw that my application has been updated i was like; "these people with their ghost updates again" before i clicked on the application and saw my correspondence letter and PPR. I immediately ran and woke my dad from sleep to break the good news to him. He has always been supportive.

Been waiting on your testimony!!!!
Thank you Jesus

Hello everyone, I just received gcms note for my application which was submitted on the 31st of January. Though I was denied last year and the same reasons for the denial (which I addressed to the best of my ability) are what is reflecting on my GCMS notes now in the preassessment part. So I would like to know if the preassessment notes are for this application or the previous one. And if it's for my current application, is there a way to address the concerns before I receive the final decision?

The Notes are for the current application but I don't think one can address the concerns before the final decision.....I leave this to the gurus to input more knowledge on it.

But stay hopefully what God cannot do does not exist.

Hello Milo9,

No harm here if you can keep up with the challenges that come with online studies, esp in third-world countries.

If you can, kindly make the opportunity of the refund assurance count to your benefit. It comes with the advantage of helping save some costs out of your LE while studying from outside Canada.

Best of Luck

There's a part that says have attended school without authorization? I clicked yes as I have attended school and gave reason that I was authorized by the school to start as I have completed my first semester. Is it okay that way and I also wanted to write more but it has a limited letter count
