Sheik Gumi emboldened them, by associating with them, he also consciously or unconsciously helped bandits and terrorists in their recruitment drive for young boys and general support of the muslim population, due to his role as a sheik. Even a blind and deaf man sees this fact.

Only those who are far sighted will know it's not advisable to arrest sheikh gummi. If we toe that path, we will have to contend with another monster that will rear it's ugly head in the future. If indeed sheikh is in complicit with their activities, they should be careful about handling the matter, you can use force on him, not now. It will aggravate and escalate the whole situation, till it spiral out of control. Follow his lead first and deal with him later, simple! That's if the FG are serious about the security situation up north.
