Vice president Yemi Osinbajo in the early hours of today presided over the Federal Executive Council meeting at the council chambers of the statehouse in Abuja.

Osinbajo stepped in for President Buhari who flew out to Spain on official duty after he met with the APC governors yesterday.

Professor Osinbajo has raised the profile of the Office of VP to a level unprecedented in the history of Nigeria.

The fact remains that as a deputy or vice you are constitutionally and morally limited. You can not step beyond your limits, otherwise you will be booted out. Being a subordinate comes with loyalty, and humility. Even in our homes, families, offices, businesses, etc, no leader will tolerate his or her deputy for insubordination.
