Programmers are the greatest googlers they learn the syntax and then when they need a function to be integrated they google it making it easier to get the job done. Go to youtube and search for girrafe academy and binge watch the hell out of which ever language you want to learn . And practice along ... In no time you will be having an evening chat with your computer like you do with your friends .

By normal web development I mean just normal frontend or backend web development. Frontend with things like react alone or backend with things like node or laravel. Those things aren't easy for newbies to enter. There's really few people out there building from scratch than people building with platforms

That's one thing tho.

About Laravel, it's funny but Laravel developers are actually scare especially in Nigeria. Take this section for example, how many Laravel developers are here? Even on twitter, it's all Javascript and python.

I see Laravel as a platform in itself. They have an official job site lara-jobs that is more active than WordPress official job site. The documentation is one of the best around.

If anyone wants to learn Laravel, they should go ahead. It has a steep learning curve especially for absolute beginners though.

WordPress or Shopify are the easiest. I advice Shopify because it's really hot right now with agencies abroad and not a lot of Devs. As for things like Magento, Magento is very complex, has a very long learning curve and you need to get certified in Magento to even have a shot at jobs. With Shopify, you can get a job provided you have a good portfolio of projects to show in Shopify. WordPress too the same thing.

How long it takes depends on you honestly to be a Shopify Dev you need HTML, CSS, JavaScript, react and Ruby. Then you can then learn liquid which is Shopifys version of Ruby. For themes, Shopify themes are easy. The apps are kinda hard it's full stack knowledge and then you need graphql. It's best to start as a theme developer then move over to Shopify apps.

Good afternoon house

Life has been so hard, no job, half education, no skill.

Am just 26years old, and am ain't getting any younger. Though when I was younger, I was able to learn graphics and website design. Though I mastered the graphics, but due to payment default I wasn't able to learn the website design, though I gained little knowledge about html and css which am sure I don't know again unless I learn again.

Now, I really wanna learn programming but I know less about it.

My questions are:
How many months is it gonna take me to master it, trust me am a very fast learner.
Secondly, How lucrative is it? Can it save me from this present penury if I eventually master it.
And finally, I don't have the funds to learn, but I feel someone can help me here(train me).

I will gladly open a thread for a follow up so Yall can know my progress while it.
