Today's news:
Our clock moved 1hr ahead today, we are back in time with Naija..

On the 23rd, UK marked 1 year of Covid lockdown called National Day of Reflection.

People were asked to observe a minute silence at 12pm in honour of those who died from Covid. Also prominent landmarks in the UK put their lights on at night..

Floral Rainbow of Hope was planted on The Mound, it had over 12,000 plants all grown in Scotland, this was done by staff from the City of Edinburgh Council along with volunteers from several Scottish nurseries with the Scottish horticulture industry.
The project was supported by garden centres from all over Scotland.

Good morning everyone, I am actually new to nairaland in terms of participation.
I have been to the UK severally and with wify twice and daughter once.
Now wify is considering going for MSC in RGU.
She wants me to come along with the 2 kids but again the finance might be too much for us.
Please I need the best advice and suggestions on how we can go about it. Also is it possible to leave the kids with my parent's for like 3 months and travel with wify then later come back for them . Please everyone is called on to contribute

An Automated External Defibrillator AED or defibrillator is a life saving device that can help save the life of someone experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest. They are easy to use, portable, with clear step-by-step instructions so anyone can use them, from a bystander to a trained professional.

All workplaces, schools, and public buildings are encouraged to have a defibrillator on site.

We hear or know of people who suddenly develop cardiac arrest and drop dead in offices or other public places, if this life saving device was in place maybe it would have made a difference. Just pondering..

Tory long, time short...

Sorry about my absence, I started a job, move house, bla bla bla.. Sometimes I'll pick up my phone to update and the spirit will be willing but the fingers weak.

So many pictures and my phone wan burst, as I no get money buy the Samsung S21 Ultra 5G 'yet' grin, make I kukuma offload and free my phone

So in today's abi yesterday's news..
I/we voted in the Scottish elections! Yay!

The whole was was seamless, chai! Fast moving queue, go in, sanitize your hands, give your name and address to the people at the desk, they check for your name in the register and cross it out, write your serial number in another and give you the ballot papers and a pencil. All you do is take the ballot papers to the booth, X the column next to the party you are voting for with pencil o (no thumb print anything), then slot the ballot paper in the designated box. Finish o. Less than 5 mins and you carry on with the day's business

Shebi, this is something I'll leave my house to go and queue in the sun to do accreditation, then go home to rest before going back in the hot sun to queue again to vote by then them don do their mago mago finish for one man house.

A country that has worldclass biometric system did not do thumbprint voting na we were...

No holiday, no stopping of movement, no joint security forces on reckless patrol.
Just a normal regular Thursday..

Last 2 pics.. the man comes with his list to do pre check as to which polling booth your street falls under and directs accordingly

Sorry if this is coming late or you've made your decision..
Personally, if you have someone trust worthy (which you seem to), your children are not too young, then it's best to come and establish first before bringing them. Especially, if you don't have the finance.
For a whole lot of reasons, it's better
