Victor Osimhen has received the green light to return to action at Spezia Saturday after he suffered a nasty head injury last weekend.

The injury forced the striker out of the home game against Cagliari.

He has since resumed full training with Gazzetta dello Sport now reporting he has got the all-clear to play Saturday afternoon and will again lead the Napoli attack.

The 22-year-old striker has thus far netted eight goals in Serie A.

Napoli are hard pressed to win at Spezia as they have slipped outside the UEFA Champions League bracket after a 1-1 draw at home with Cagliari.

They have 67 points, while Atalanta, Juventus and AC Milan are all on 69 points with four matches to spare.

The NFF has done it again with securing another tournament for our Women’s team. This along with the NWFL super 6 shows that women’s football is being taken seriously in this nation. Let’s maintain this.

Mendy was a late bloomer but why you do say he is not a world class, is it because he is a late bloomer?
This was Manuel Neuer on Mendy around December last year

He is a good goal keeper but I don’t think he is world class yet

He has been good at Chelsea but give him 2 more seasons to be good at the top then I will call him world class

What do you expect Manuel Neuer to say ?

Yes he is a later bloomer, making it to the top at 29 is not bad for a goalkeeper

It doesn't show anything. Let them actually attend the tournament first.

With the world cup qualifiers postponed, the NFF can use the free window in June to organize one or two friendlies for the team..

Maybe our bredas will be available grin
Or South Africa...they recently appointed Hugo Broos as their new manager..

Francis uzoho made his debut for deportivo in LA liga at age 17, he was destined to have a solid career at DEPORTIVO or LA liga in the future until Nigerians decided to start a smear campaign on him by assassinating his character. I.e labeling him an "age cheat" without any evidence. The guy even had a decent world cup for his age but afterwards, no serious team was willing to take a risk or gamble with him. This is how his career trajectory was ruined by His fellow Nigerians especially without any anecdotal or factual evidence. I hope Nigerians learn the importance of Reputation, branding, social media etc I hope Francis will one day forgive his people for how they tried to ruin his character without evidence. Anyway, it's a lesson to us Super Eagles fan. Please, be mindful of how you falsely accuse players of Age falsification and if you don't have any proof, evidence except facial structures, then don't accuse your own of cheating because the repercussions can be long lasting and damaging

we should not play people below us in ranking please.

To make good progress in our ranking, I think we should just get one of those mid European teams ahead of us to try win let's step up a bit

Euros is starting next month too..
I don't think mid table European teams above us in the ranking will be willing to play African oppositions to prepare for the tournament..
There's also Copa America..

okay this is understandable sha.

But Mexico who are 11th and USA that are 20th can be tried now.

Or we lobby to be invited to participate in the Copa America since there are 2 slots open for invitation of other countries.

Atleast that should give us a leap or two in the ranking.

The CONCACAF gold cup is holding in July too.. Depends on if North American teams will be willing to face African oppositions too to prepare for it..
As for participating in Copa America, it's a good idea.. but I doubt if NFF will want to try it out..
The tournament is next month and time to prepare for it is short..

Even if we spend just 1 week preparing, I still don't see the SE losing to teams like Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Paraguay.

I think this is a wonderful idea and the NFF should try out and if they try, they stand a chance of been accepted because it will be the first African country and they would want to buy into Africa market, also, Nigeria is a big footballing nation with large market.

I will go to the NFF twitter page right now and suggest it

That's really a good one. Considering our rising profile and the fact that we have no official games till September. Its also denotes inclusivity

Yeah it will be a fantastic way to try new players. We can use this to cap Micheal oliseh and see what players like nwakali, akinkunmi amoo, frank onyeka, Nathan tells have to offer.
We have everything to gain and nothing to loose. It doesn't even really matter if we win or loose. At the very least we discover new talents and cap some foreign borns

Oga pls do, plus any other string you can pull.

This is an excellent idea and I'm not talking in terms of trying new players or keeping us busy, but in terms of getting familiar with South American opposition and developing a winning mentality against them.

South American opposition has always been our albatross in all levels of football and there is no way we can ever go far in any World cup edition without us learning how to get over South American opposition.

I have always wondered (and jealous of) how Cameroon is always able to handle them but we always struggle against them.

We need to learn how to play the South Americans and this tourney will be a good starting point.
